I watched the original Night of the Living Dead last night and Silence of the Lambs.
Night of the Living Dead was brilliant in that it wasn't horror in the traditional sense, but that the horror came from the people themselves, their interactions, and the fact that they all died because they couldn't get what they wanted as individuals instead of acting as a group.

You're just coming to terms with the establishment, I think most people have wanted to "get away from it all" at some point in their lives. Eventually you grow out of it.
I lost it at the point when you started talking about the police coming after you with helicopters and how to hide yourself from infrared cameras. If it's come to that, you've either done something wrong, or you have a problem that can be addressed. This isn't wanting privacy, it's gone long off the deep end.
