Are there any major differences other than it being HD?
Nope, exact same games. The hd pack is generally considered the definitive collection from what I can tell. They're the same just with a higher resolution and some stuff tweaked to look nicer. No changes to the mechanics or anything like that. It's 2, 3 and Peace Walker but I would recommend getting Mgs1 first which you can pick up for like £6 on psn (dunno if it's on live).

Surprised the first isn't in the collection.
I was too but i think the reason is that a) it's ps1 and not PS2 (though peace walker is psp originally) and also there was already a hd remake called twin snakes for gamecube. Apparently it's rubbish though cos it's full of dumb cutscenes that are over the top and stuff. Gameplay wise it's the same too but it has first person which nerfs all difficulty. I think it should have been included though cos giving you those 3 without the original to come off, especially considering how important story is, kinda ruins a bit of it.

Vin Diesel did so I guess you're gonna find out :v:

I don't use PSN so I'll have to figure out how to get my PS1 look not shitty on my TV then or just bear with it. Will probably be a few months though so no rush for me.
Curious, what's your opinion on Unreal (original, not Tournament)? For some reason it seems right up your alley. Probably my one of my favorite first person shooters.

Amazing show, watch it.
Big fan of unreal, need to play it again actually. Way different from the tournament games but cool as hell and tough
Yeah, expected you to be a fan of it. I should play it again too.
..... If someone nominated Vladimir Putin to do the ice bucket challenge, would he dump himself into a bucket of ice?
He'd prolly dump himself into a frozen pond just to show that he's superior.
So I'm playing Zombie Panic Source and there's one map where at the end you have to press a button or you can't win and just get to survive as long as you can. Cause the area is hard to defend people like never press it. So I decide to hide around a ledge where somehow every zombie missed me. I pressed the button in time and managed to win the round along with like one other guy who was running around the grass while I pressed it.
Next round admin says "No one press the button next round." I ask why and he says "It isn't fun." I tell him it's the only way to win the map, but he says some BS about threatening me to try it next round and see what happens. I was going to, but the zombies found my spot. Apparently winning the game isn't allowed on that server or some dumb shit.

I've seen bits and pieces when it aired on AMC, but I just can't pull myself to watch 62 episodes each 47-55 minutes long on Netflix...
Man Robin Williams nailed that whole looking defeated and walking to the door and turning at the last second and making an epic comeback thingy

The day that we'll be able to transfer our brains to something digital, so we could live forever in a virtual reality, wouldn't that technically mean that I ceased to exist, but the idea of me could live on?
I'm not sure how I would feel about that, hypothetically - here's hoping I won't ever have to make any choice on that matter.

with how computers etc work I don't think we'd be able to shove a brain into a harddrive unless we get computers which works similarily to how a brain works
[editline]19th August 2014[/editline]
so technically, if we were to reach that point, would it be digital or just another way of being alive? if it's like a brain, it's the same deal just metal
poor girl with expensive taste. my cries ;-;

The cosmic battle of deactivating or keeping facebook has gone on for generations, or at least several years. I’ve seen many a good friend deactivate and later reactivate facebook. Scores of articles, blog posts, and wars have been fought on the issue.
But you should not deactivate your facebook.
Facebook isn’t your enemy. Your enemies are actually your ‘friends’. When I had 1000+ friends on facebook, it was a constant battle of sifting through silly vacation photos, awful status updates about the latest bowel movement and horoscope meanderings. After aggressively chopping that list to people who lead engaged and thoughtful lives, my facebook news feed has drastically changed. Now I log into facebook to find engaged social commentaries, controversial news and articles, and dare I even say thoughtful status updates.
I once heard an old southern baptist preacher say, “show me your friends and I’ll show you your future”. His context may have been different, but consider the truth.
Your facebook is a waste of time because of the company you keep. This should go without saying, but I will say it. Perhaps apply this to your non-internet life as well. You shouldn’t deactivate your facebook. You should deactivate your ‘friends’.
If they’re not pushing you forward, they’re keeping you behind.
tbh if you think deleting your facebook will solve anything there are a few more problems beyond that
deleting your Facebook account sounds kind of backwards if you have friends since there's no doubt they probably use it as well
i have a friend who went full tinfoil hat on facebook. made a multiple paragraph post about how they're reading your messages and emails and stuff and promptly deleted his fb
i c how many friends i can lose with posting on fb

this is assuming the technology would exist.
i'm thinking more about the dilemma in which there would be existing two of you when you transfer your brain to virtual reality.
then you kill off the real you, and a virtual version of you exists.
the real you... dies. which means I actually die.
