today I was actually productive. Cleaned my room and reorganized it, as well put in two new bookcases.
This episode of Pokemon is infuriating, super sad and happy all at the same time. It shows off the problem the show has of randomly evolving Pokemon, like this poacher guy threw out his Pupitar and it evolved mid-fucking-air into Tyranitar. Like, what. It's also the episode where Jesse and James release their Wheezing and Arbok to protect groups of Ekans and Koffing. And it's the episode where James gets his Cacnea.
So, infuriating, sad and happy.

five nights at freddy's is literally as bad at horror as slender
any feeling of tension comes entirely from the idea that you're going to get a jump scare if you don't do well (that being said, it at least has a fair attempt at worthwhile gameplay mechanics, whereas slender does not)

I disagree completely. See Slender is a very simple game. Walk around, find pages, avoid Mr.long-tall-dark-and-skinny.
5naf has much more complex gameplay that keeps you on your toes and thinking. Also the guy updated it and made the AI even more unpredictable recently iirc.
Like you said, it has much better mechanics, that's what makes this what Slender isn't.
Also by the time Slender came out, Slenderman was getting a bit old. 5naf is fresh.
Portal is good at horror because the mechanics are rad as heck.

It's a unity game.. I think.. so it should be able to support it easily.

Jumpscares themselves aren't bad. It's just when games do it around a corner or something for no reason. In Freddy's it's the actual AI fucking messing with you.

the freddy game is starting to get a little annoying to be honest. not the game itself, but the community it's forming. it gets really washed out once you start seeing "are you ready for freddy", discussions about it everywhere, tons of fan-art and literally all the popular youtubers running it into the ground
it's losing its freshness
