Personally, I like American Dad, Family Guy and even The Cleveland Show.
Sure quite a lot of the humor is dumb as fuck, but most of it is still funny. Though the majority of the newer stuff is now more of a laugh at it funny than laugh with it funny.
They're animated comedy shows for the males 18-35 demographic, it's not supposed to be sophisticated or high-brow. If that's what you're looking for go watch Fraiser or something instead of complaining that this show which clearly isn't made for you isn't to your taste.
And don't get me wrong, I'm not saying a person can't dislike the shows, it's just that there's a point where for some reason people stopped going "I don't care for these shows because it's not my kind of humor" and started going "fuck seth mcdickland and his shitty fucking shit show, it was never funny ever, nobody is allowed to like this or they're fucking stupid, literally worse than hitler" and it's a little silly.

I dont mind those shows, some of the hate for them is a little exaggerated.
I do prefer American dad though, and The Clevelend show was a little weird to get into at first since Clevelend always came across as a little more mature in Family guy.
