He's Tyrion Lannister in Game of Thrones.

4.4 is pretty sexy, but touchwiz on the other hand is ugly as sin
Destiny is like halo's combat mixed with BL's mechanics and I am just in love with it. This is awesome.

well aware of the irony of posting this within a day of callin someone out for bashing FTL with no reasons but im kinda kidding Destiny looks eh to me. Like a game that promises more than it will be. Plus Halo 3 and 4 sucked and Borderlands was never good to me. Can't see myself thinking it's anything more than average.
tbh I literally just expect hyped up AAA games to suck. Plus I do tend to see the content and it generally looks really average. Hype trains are fucking awful and gaming media is a total joke of fanboyism, bias and paid off reviews (probably not directly but if your website is advertising the game for months and bigging it up before release you cannot give it a bad review or the devs probably won't come back to you and you've lost a client and lots of money u know) and hardly anyone knows how to even write about games. I think games journalism is backwards as hell and 100% shitty. Like Watch Dogs was meant to be "the" game of 2014 but it fucking sucks really goddamn badly in pretty much all ways just as I expected. Infinite was last year's big game but it also was awful. Skyrim was 2012's and it was a whole load of empty nothingness (so was Watch Dogs). Not all AAA games suck of course but I don't trust hype and stuff basically. My taste also clashes a bit with the games I suppose.
i guess what i am saying is I am continually let down by big games so I don't think they'll be good regardless of how hyped up they are?? Plus I tend to always get suspicious of hype trains no matter the medium. Same for films and stuff too.

also borderlands is boring as hell to me with shitty comedy and far too many weapons. Its gimmick was a detriment to the game. Its artstyle was ok but it was mostly just grey deserts and the same enemies but stronger as the game went on. It's so repetitive and you spend way too much of the game just running around. (the maps are too big- I guess they're meant to create a sprawling world but really they're just empty)
Idk the last time I loved a AAA game was The Last Of Us and before that it was Dark Souls if that even counts

highly highly anticipating MGSV:TPP but I doubt it'll come out this year

The hilarious part is that Dark Souls ( the first one ) was rather low budget and comes out to be better than most AAA games
yea shame DSII was bad tho. Looking forward to Bloodborne since it's Miyazaki again. DSII was majorly disappointing, could never get into it. Its gameplay was fine but it was not a very interesting game. I didn't take nearly as much enjoyment from playing it as I did the first and I found it difficult to revisit. Quite a chore. Only managed to finish it properly once so far whereas DS1 I've completed god knows how many times, several times on several characters. It's got its flaws and its start is better than its end but it's a really great game.

trip to art gallery was pretty fun, now I gotta write up a small essay on what I liked and disliked for class tomorrow

wassup dub!
Videogames.
Wake up at 6 am, shower, breakfast, get to class before 9 am, spend 7 hours modelling, go to work for 2 hours, and then try to catch the last-minute bus. If everything goes as planned, I'm home around 8 pm. Fuck buses.
Tiring.

Not that uncommon in media though really. I think it's hard to recreate a low budget production by just throwing more money at it, I mean off the top of my head Paranormal Activity springs to mind where they actually spent more money trying to make it look like they had none.
Paranormal Activity 1 was actually really low budget (under $1m I think)
But yeah money has no correlation to quality like I have seen some great great films on shoestring budgets but have seen loads of really shitty ones that are $200m monsters
[editline]10th September 2014[/editline]
ye first PA was $15,000 which is essentially nothing but the others are $5m which is still low budget tbf
Ya but for what they were going for that's still a hell of a lot, I wouldn't have gone over 1 mil.

The only think dark souls 2 does better is graphics ( and online interaction if you're on PC ), aside from that DS2's combat and level design was a lot less memorable, there were a few neat things but nowhere near the scope of DS1, almost everything of DS1 is memorable, DS2 not so much.
fuck.
So I'm recreating Luigi's Mansion, and I found out that the interior of the mansion is larger than the exterior:
[T]http://upl.kittehcat.org/2014-09-10_16-19-15.png[/T]
All the rooms are proportional, but yet the exterior looks like a pancake.
damn
Guess that means I have to create the exterior separately.
Seriously though I am hyped for my new graphics card to come in.
I've been reinstalling a bunch of graphics heavy games as well, so I can note the improvements. I'm super excited.
[editline]10th September 2014[/editline]
Also I have room for more games now since I have my 4tb harddrive and my main 1tb drive.
[QUOTE=bdd458;45940626]My GTX 770 gets here today, an upgrade from my Radeon HD 7850[/QUOTE]
770s aren't too bad. They're roughly the same as the GTX 680, which is still a pretty damn fast card.
wanna get me a 50mm lens hnnnnnnng
But honestly the 7850 was kind of an iffy card to start with, that whole 7800 series wasn't really too awesome IMO. AMD picked it back up again with the 7900 series.
[editline]10th September 2014[/editline]
Wow my automerge.
I've had my 7850 for nearly 2 years now, the upgrade time has finally arrived.
I've been slowly upgrading my computer over the past 2 years. I got a new desk (not the old, small, and cramped one I used to have), a 1920x1080 monitor (much bigger than my 1024X768 one), Windows 8.1 64 bit (an upgrade from my 32 bit 7. Now I can use all the RAM I got when I built the damn thing), and now a new graphics card.
It's been exciting.
I can't really justify any further upgrades right now. The last thing I purchased were four Scythe Grand Flex fans, the 1200RPM variants. CPU/RAM/storage wise I'm happy with my current build. I'm also glad I picked up that Dell S2340M a while back, IPS panels are so nice. I miiiiiight swap out my 7950 within the next year, depending on what's coming out for the PC market. But running it at 1.1GHz core/1.5GHz memory mixes it in with the 7970/GTX 680 in a few titles I play, so it's still doing pretty good.

Back when W7 was released, I was able to purchase that copy through my university for $10 :v:
