Do it, I only have a 58mm but used a mates K1000 which came with a 50mm lens by default and wow. Make it prime though zoom lenses are 4 losers.

thats the only lens I own but I've borrowed my friend's/used his plenty and like the Canon kit lens is just so so poor in most ways. i don't like it but lenses can get so expensive and camera stuff is not a priority right now so

kit lenses are good because they're cheap. break it? doesn't cost much to replace with solid iq performance
50mm lenses also fit in here
Today I doodled Earthworm Jim, Boogerman, and Awesome Possum. Ironically, Awesome Possum ended up looking like a complete mess.
My drawing professor is cool and all but he never shuts the fuck up.
He spends almost 2 hours out of the 3 hour block just talking on and on and on about very simple concepts that should really take 20 minutes at most to explain.

Because I use film mainly I'm a big advocate of prime lenses, zoom lenses are OK but ultimately more prone to failure due to the sheer amount of parts. That and prime lenses are just sharper, The Trip 35's 40mm lens is regarded as one of "the best ever made" IIRC it's just so fucking sharp.
