the reason im worried about hype is that MGS4 was prolly hyped up like this and looked amazing but then it turned out to be really fucking bad but then again this time we're dealing with a more enclosed story that can only end one way (then again I feel I can basically we I know for a fact it will not be the way we expect tho) and the game mechanics seem really different and its focus on cutscenes is apparently significantly less than any of the games previous which is cool

The last time I remember feeling something to this level, physically, over an emotion was when someone particularly famous in a Pokemon fan community glorified Mewtwo's death in their work and I was racking my mind trying to figure out what, if anything, I was going to do to respond...because I felt that if there was a glorified negative reaction of Mewtwo it could - possibly - have the TINIEST chance of catching the eye of a developer of Smash and telling them Mewtwo is unliked and thus not worth including in the next Smash.
I'm probably feeling more emotions about this than I am when close family members have passed and I was at their funerals.
If the roster leaks today (now that it's Thursday), and Mewtwo is NOT playable, in my fucked up mind it will mean that September 11, 2001 is only the second-worst thing to have happened on a September 11th. If the roster leaks today and Mewtwo IS playable, in my fucked up mind it will mean that this will be the most significant September 11th in history, bar none. I'm not saying that as a joke but rather just how hard-wired my brain is on this.
Seventeen years of Pokemon fandom. Almost fifteen years of dedicated Mewtwo fandom. Six years, seven months, and eleven days since I have had nothing but hatred for everyone at Nintendo that worked on Brawl and was passively or actively part of the decision that Mewtwo would not be in it. ...and one day can be what frees me from at least half of my waking moments being spent thinking about what the future of the Mewtwo fandom will be, possibly being secure that it will thrive with new fans for a decade to come.
I need this in my life. I need this in my life to properly function as a human being. Fuck the fighting over items on/items off, what the "proper" way to play Smash is. Nintendo, give me a reason to believe that my spending half my life devoted to a single character from a single one of your franchises was time well spent.

The only reason that Apple release the Apple Watch is because they realized that their phones are getting too big but they didnt want to sell a phone with a smaller screen so instead they pushed for bigger but solved a problem they created by creating the Apple Watch, now you dont have to stand up to retrieve your phone to check your messages.
