You don't have to sign for most packages though. My UPS guy just leaves them at the door.

They might not be allowed to do it, or just not obligated, I forget which.
Kinda like in the winter. If you don't shovel your driveway, and you just drive your car into your garage and go inside that way, they don't have to walk through all your snow to deliver your package.
I hate when the UPS guy rings the bell or knocks on the door just once, and if they don't get a response within 10 seconds, they just run off. That happened to me once, and for a few seconds I considered chasing down the truck.
In other news, I'm thinking of trying to grow out a decent mustache/goatee for once. I just have to power through the itchiness for a few weeks (the itch has been going on since yesterday, actually).

I'll freeze time, teleport into the truck, grab my package, and just dig into his brain and let him know that there is no longer a package heading to address X!

I don't think so. It might just be certain views (or the lack of some) that you have which make you feel this way. This stuff is normal, and seen in a lot of people.
