i just haven't heard anyone saying "yeah you're really missing out on something great!" it just seems to be average or maybe slightly above average at best, depending on how you feel about the grinding. i watched angry joe's review a little while ago and that seems to fall in line with most of what i've heard.
if they even do a PC release i might pick it up, but it's definitely not something that would sway me towards picking up a ps4 or xbone.

I'm ~2.5 miles from the Renaissance Center. Detroit is weird because the "downtown" is really really small, like a little more than a square mile or so. I'm in what is considered midtown. It's actually really hipster here, like really really hipster, it's nothing like what people would expect. People are trying to reclaim the city in a way, there's a really big push for the art scene and urban agriculture. A big thing that's trying to start up hydroponic farming, it's actually kind of cool. Lots of local shops buy and sell food from local growers around here. It's actually pretty up and coming compared to what it used to be.
Don't get me wrong, there are still places you don't want to go to, but not really that much more so than other cities. Some areas between midtown and downtown are sketchy, as well as if you go too far east or west or north, but then you're not really in the city proper anymore. It's not like what people think about when they think of the dirty D, there aren't gang bangers on every street corner waiting to kill you. The only reason crime reports are so high is because the full city of Detroit is technically like 140 square miles. Compare that to the 1 square mile of downtown. A lot of those areas are sketchy as fuck, but most people around here don't think of them as being a part of the city itself. Detroit was a city designed for 2 million people during 1950s and 60s, and at the time is was hugely successful. Now it's just a bunch of empty infrastructure surrounding the immediate city; that's what everyone is actually referring to when they think of ghetto Detroit, even if they don't know it.

It's so hard to get a decent pub match in payday 2. Nearly everyone just expects you to know exactly what tactic they're gonna do and get pissy if you delay for even a second.

It's fun. I would definitely recommend using a controller, especially if you pick Merlin. Using his spells with a mouse and keyboard is a total nightmare IMO. I sent you a friend request on Steam; Azure and I could play some PD2 on Wednesday. I'm off from work and all that.

So apparantly I can't access my bank because my authenticator is broken, giving me the wrong codes, and I have bills to pay that are due tomorrow.
Seems like I'll have to pay dosh for a mobile authenticator once I've reopened my bank account, as it's closed because I failed to log in several times before realizing what was wrong.
I'm pretty sure I'll be able to pay tomorrow, the bank I use are pretty helpful and understanding.
