You can tell Russell let the actors egos go wild, doesn't really feel like a film to me rather than a collection of acting demos. That and there are much better examples of hustle films IMO such as the oceans remakes.

like i just start liking girls i'm sorta-friends with from a distance but i fucked up one really good friendship already by liking the girl as more than a friend when she didn't like me the same way so i never really want to try to pursue it and the friendship stagnates and we just eventually stop talking
so either i pursue it and fuck up the friendship or i don't and the friendship dissolves anyway
