The Order: 1886 used that as their excuse for being locked at 30fps (granted it's console but I am a strong advocate of console games being locked at 60 not 30). 30fps is pretty much objectively worse than 60fps. I get why companies lock their games at 30, it allows them to push the graphics higher which is what more people tend to care about ([URL="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXJh9ut2hrc"]TotalBiscuit's vid[/URL] on framerate is actually really good and basically nails it entirely I think) but "cinematic" is bullshit anyway since that's a different medium and framerate is 24 in cinema because that's the optimal- 30fps is not optimal in video games. It's 60, or even better 120... It's just a bullshit lie that developers have come up with to let them get away with nerfing performance in their games.
