It is, but that's still no excuse for them to permanently drop driver support for an OS (Windows 8) based on a single problem that did not exist on that OS's previous iteration (Windows 7) and its first service pack (Windows 8.1). My point isn't the ability to upgrade to Windows 8.1, it's how poorly AMD handled what seems to be a relatively minor issue.

Got enough cash to treat myself to something like Alien Isolation or Shadow of Mordor. Thing is, my friend promised me that we'd meet this week for a day in the city. Although they're historically known for hanging me up all the time. At first I thought about waiting to see if they're being genuine this time, and buy something with them while we're out, but I'm not counting on them actually going out.

Well, my life's not great. Got financial problems, mental problems, and a whole slew of baggage to carry around. Despite this, 5 years ago(roughly) I got into DND. Got into a game of dark heresy, met my friends there. Ever since we've hung out and had good times, with our share of disagreements. Then it comes to this new game, mutants and masterminds. It's likes superhero DND. Things start off well enough but it becomes evident that I either have horrible luck or there's a conspiracy against my wizard as he runs into problem after problem. I wind up killing him of for the sake of starting fresh, but local party werewolf superhero(?) doesn't trust him because he's part of some kind of wizard police. It all kind of goes downhill from there. We get I to more and more bickering and my plans often got outright sabatoged at times (who punches a cop and steals a doomsday watch?) and after spending many many moons furiously plotting on how to not be a terrible wizard cop, all the stress kind of caught up to me and I snapped at them. Kind of broke down due to all the sudden new stress that cropped up out of nowhere (bros having a kid, I got college, and when I told werewolf I had a plan he just laughed in my face about it). Now I've apologized and gone comms dark for the week in the hopes that I can learn how to not take games so seriously that they're giving me male pattern. Baldness and new windows in my walls. I feel like rubbish and I don't know how I'm going to mend this frankly.
if you explain that it happened because you're stressed, and explain at least vaguely where the stress is coming from your friends should understand
you had a completely reasonable response to a shitty situation, and as long as your friends can understand where it came from that should be all it takes to forgive you
