The name comes from some kind of religious hymn called Kyrie Eleison, if memory serves. So they're pronouncing it correctly when they say "kee-ree-yay".

I don't think it's that kind of situation. It's probably like 1 can or package of pineapple chunks a day, compared to your assumed binge of x amount of Pineapple in 1 day / sitting.

Not quite, pineapple has an enzyme in it that lyses proteins, bromelain. But it doesn't have anything to do with your tongue getting affected by it.

I'm on the boss of the Forest Temple in Ocarina of Time and tbh I no longer believe anyone who said they completed this game when they were fuckin 9 or 10 or 12 cos maybe i'm just insanely stupid but this is a hard game and I had to look up guides several times lmao
