If you come in to the interview, admit you don't have the experience but say that you will do just as good as someone who has said experience, they will probably hire you.
I took some class on how to find and get jobs. This was a big point. Act confident.
Speaking of jobs. I wonder if there are any (well paying) jobs that don't require knowledge of the local language. I am living abroad for studying and my father's friend is convinced I won't find any decent jobs until I learn moderate Polish
A lot of places only require degrees not because of the knowledge you learn, but because it shows you can stick with something tough for a long time and succeed.

I don't know what city [i]you[/i] live in, but job requirements are getting raised more and more in NYC. To make matters worse, more employers/establishments here are starting to require that you have a college degree (except for fast food, and some others). For example, I've applied to a few dog walking companies (since I can't seem to get a job doing retail) and at least half of them required that I either had a college degree or was currently in college. Otherwise, they wouldn't accept my resume or call me back.
