there's a thing you can do to verify it and skip the 7 day period, if you dig through the account settings in steam

iirc it basically charges the card a random amount that won't actually be taken, and you have to give steam the amount charged to prove you own the card or something like that

Try it out, but don't make it a permanent thing. Give yourselves some time to figure out if it suits you.
I've known a few people that made major diet changes like that and all of them said they felt a whole lot better in general after they found the right diet
