I had that issue before... I think I fixed it by recompiling with the HL2 compiler instead.

Quasi-related. Now I remember why I stopped playing Minecraft. The laziness of mod users (and following, modders) was atrocious.
I did complicated things back when RedPower was still relevant. On Oicani's/Inacio's server, I rigged the equivilant of a crane just to harvest sugar cane using its frame system and controlled it using the RPC that came with it via FORTH. In single-player maps, did similar feats to lift trains over cliffs safely or have it suck out X amount of item Y from chest Z.
But now kids think they're hot stuff when they pump the Nether dry to fuel their crappy dynamos to generate googobs of "RF" energy to power an automatic crafting machine and Pokemon-style PC storage system.
I'd get called a tryhard for using RailCraft for, iunno, rail networks and long-distance item transport instead of tesseracts. I used to breed bees with some pals on servers, but it's a lost art to people copying an item and fabricating it using liquid matter. So you got a little computer in the game? Apparently the coolness factor of an emulated 8-bit computer is silly compared to a cheap terminal you can get the materials to build just by going to a village. Did I mention the latter runs a Lua shell and no one uses it besides to get what they want via Pastebin?
On some servers, I used to run little "companies" like Oily Baba selling oil and shipping it via tank carts and a map-wide railroad. That didn't fly because no one could be arxed to lay tracks. Stinky Peat used to promote the use of alternate energies in the game since peat used to run better than, dare I say, coal. It was renewable too. No one bought my peat either because people were already self-sufficient with the setup for a lava pump and generator being first-day cheap.
tl;dr Microsoft's acquisition of Mojang would have been the nail in the coffin first if it weren't for the trendsetter of magic blocks, Thermal Expansion. "That's it! I quit!" came from the announcement of BuildCraft switching to the RF system of power.

I wish I could just get this work done, but I just can't get my brain to think right now. I have to a) come up with an extensive metaphor for school/education (that isn't the school-as-a-factory metaphor) and b) finish an essay that was due on monday, because I missed class last week when she told everyone that she changed the assignment for us so now I have to fix it.
It's not that I can't focus on it, I just try to think about it and nothing happens. I usually enjoy thinking up metaphors for things, so I figured I would have that pumped out in ten minutes flat, and the only thing I have to do to the essay is add one last paragraph about educational philosophies that I liked and fix up my intro and conclusion. I JUST CAN'T DO IT CAPTAIN
There's this girl who is super into me and is always over, she stays the night all the time, we party and drink and bang and stuff and it's cool and all, but like I just don't have feelings like [I]that[/I] for her and idk why. And she knows it. Part of me feels like I'm taking advantage of her but the other part of me is genuinely happy she is around all the time and I like being with her in whatever situation we've got going on. I just have no intentions of going further. Maybe because I'll be graduating undergrad this year and she won't be for another year or two?

Just grab the cookie box with one cookie left in it, eat the cookie, and put the empty box back in the cupboard. One drop of a drink left? Finish it and put it back in the fridge. Then you get to watch someone grab it and go to pour themselves a drink, and laugh when they get mad because it was empty.
My mom came into my room and read my D&D 5th edition book for an hour. She just walked in, sat down, and started reading it. Didn't say a word and I was just playing Marvel Heroes the whole time. I kept asking "Do you need something?" and without looking at me "No, I'm good."
That was quite an "I don't know what is going on." moment for me.
several years back, my mother took a peek at my copy of the Fiend Folio from my AD&D collection. I thought for certain she'd accuse me of worshipping devils (she's very religious), but she didn't really say anything.
My mom is cool in the sense that she gets fantasy stuff, but I've never once in my life seen her read a fantasy novel, let alone sit for an hour with a D&D book. It was just like "What are you doing? Can I help you?" "Nope."
