I've seen posts promoting the doxxing of racists and the "ruining of their lives" and it makes me legit mad. "The road to hell is littered with good intentions" has never been more fitting.
But yeah aside from that sure putting someone down feels good but it helps nothing in the long term, if you try to explain why it's offensive then at least you've tried if they throw it back in your face. Online discussion now needs to be short, snappy with a good slogan/easily understood point and all it does is entrench people in their views. Doesn't help that everything is becoming politicised these days either.

I watched "The Lost Battalion" yesterday and went onto IMBD to read about the movie.
One side said it was a good, factually correct movie. The other side said that it was a piece of American propoganda because the Americans win in the end.
It's a movie about a real life battle where the Americans actually won, albeit with heavy losses (For those that don't know, The Lost Battalion is about a battle towards the end of WWI in which an American battalion was ordered to march into the Argonne forest, but instead got surrounded. Low on supplies they fought for a week and survived, to the surprise of the Germans). It was a really accurate movie, and the acting was good as well.
but yeah, IMDB is weird.
I watched Malcolm X today and the imdb boards were probably as fucking awful as you would expect

You could possibly sell it and make a fairly decent amount but i'm not sure myself
it's in a too terrible of a condition to be sold. besides, I'll just find a way to preserve what I can preserve, either by lamination or something.
