I'm no expert, but I think autism and how severe it is has been blown completely out of proportions. a lot of autistic people are fully functioning people, you just don't hear about them since they don't stand out

She brought me to severall doctors. Many of them couldn't tell why I was that way. One doctor told her that I had autism. I could probably ask her more in detail about it.

You should visit another Doctor and see if you have Autism. Now I don't remember exactly so I could be wrong, but I think not talking for a certain amount of years is a sign of Autism.

A lot of people just have misconceptions about what it is. It doesn't help that some people think it's a measurable thing, like severe<--->mild, when really the spectrum is more like a three dimensional cube.
