Yeah, each color Yoshi has different main powers. Blue Yoshi can fly with any color shell, Red spits fireballs, Yellow stomps but you can have the same effect if you have any color Yoshi and eat the right shell, except for Blue. If a non-Blue Yoshi eats a blue shell, it won't fly as well as a Blue Yoshi would.
Yes, i played the FUCK out of Mario World on my GBA.
my 11 year old self is having his mind blown rite now i thot the different colored yoshis were just his friends that existed for multiplayer reasons
blue yoshi were my favourite as I knew tons of glitches that could be done with flying, the easiest being to fly under the ground
