Once upon a time I lived in hell. This time was now. As I was writing this I noticed the feeling of a cold emptiness behind me... I turn around... a skeleton popped out.
Way too fucking scary! I can't sleep now!
Round 2, guys. Gimme a topic for another short story.
Also, these extra details help...
1. Main character name.
2. Where does it take place?
3. What time period?
4. Any specific plot points you think would be cool?
1. Donavon Markowitz
2. New York
3. 1951
4. Must include body horror (think David Cronenberg), and proto computers.

If there ever becomes a third in the BioShock series (Genetic voodoo over transdimensional voodoo), it should take place on the moon and using retro sci-fi like The Jetsons. As for the name of said colony, I would suggest Pirram Adnam, but it's not very 1800s-sounding.
I think it would be cool if the next Bioshock took place in the late 70s. The world is underground with architecture inspired by James Turrell. It deals with psychedelic cults, early computers, virtual (or augmented) reality, and AI.

I'm coming up blank for a colony name right now, if you guys can come up with something, post it and I'll replace whatever name I use to hold it.

Small favor from you guys... would really appreciate some feedback.

This is one I'm proud of, but all of my stuff is recorded on my phone (so not that great quality, and some are VERY quiet) until I can afford a new PC.
Guys, get off of Gmod and Steam NOW, *cough* lua exploit is fucking people over right now. It modifies some lua/gmod scripts and spreads to other players, just by being in the same server as you. It's a lua exploit that spreads like a virus, and as of a few hours ago, ~450 people have been VAC banned because of it. So avoid gmod until this all blows over.
K... fairly certain this moon base story is going to be a lot longer than the story of the party host, so I'll be posting it in CC once I'm done. I'm like 4-5 paragraphs in and they're just now landing the aircraft full of the first residents at the colony.

Listening to the Fallout 3 OST really helps me write this... O__O
And here's a taste of what's to come... a paragraph explaining a bit about our main character.
Donovan Markowitz was one of the new residents. A painter who had known life on earth to be petty and hateful. Nobody had ever understood the paintings he created. He would dump the blood of pigs on a canvas and then smear the blood with sticks, creating portraits of men without ears, eyes, noses. He claimed the paintings were his view on government rule over the people. Men who didn't see the pain they caused, didn't hear the cries of the poor, could not smell the plagued streets they claimed power over. Gabriel Ivanovich understood the meaning behind Markowitz's painting though. That was the reason Markowitz was invited to this new colony - to remind the people of what they left behind.
That's exactly what happened to me as well.

IPAs are so disgusting like holy shit
1144 words so far, and I'm probably only halfway through the story... Goddamn you guys for picking this topic...

Listening to FF7 OST... every time I get to a different part of the story, a new song starts... and it's creepy how well each song matches where I'm at...
God I hate when a book is adapted into a film and then there's inevitably a printing of that book where the cover is a production shot of the film
Like why the hell should Will Smith be on the cover of I,Robot, that's stupid. Does it really help to have that picture on there? Seems to me like anybody who's interested in the source material has already read it or will read it regardless of whether or not the cover is Will Smith's face. But I'm not in advertising so what do I know
[editline]fuckin audiobooks man[/editline]

I mean what? The fuck does Will Smith being in the movie have to do with the book. I guess to just grab people's attention like, "Hey, Will Smith is in this book." But then the movie-slogan "One man saw it coming." makes no sense for the book (and by extension audiobook) because if I remember correctly none of the stories in it have a premise that can be described as that. It's stupid
i actually had to search quite a bit to find a copy of game of thrones that didn't have sean bean on the cover
Here's the moon colony story.
