Why, do you have something planned already for more than a year in advance?
I've got school!
Fuck school camping is more important.
Silly american schools for going back a month early.
Mid August is best, that way two more of the group will be 18 which does make buying alcohol easier, plus it's August which is an awesome month.
I wasn't aware we had any trouble this time... especially since the pub even served Georgie. It's not like we were short of 18+ willing to buy for people in town anyway. And I don't have a problem with mid August, just saying.
Oh also I'll be 20 so...
I wasn't aware we had any trouble this time... especially since the pub even served Georgie.
So we can get stuff from Booths and bring it back to the campsite without having to bug others.
Keep it the same date please, I doubt I'll be able to do August. [editline]08:19PM[/editline]
So we can get stuff from Booths and bring it back to the campsite without having to bug others.
It's not a big deal, there are more than enough people 18 and over to buy booze.
So we can get stuff from Booths and bring it back to the campsite without having to bug others.
You'd still require a driver, and I find things like that more entertaining than a problem.
I wanna go this time holy shit it looked fun.. when is the plan to do it again? I'll be 19 if it's this time-ish next year.
You'd still require a driver, and I find things like that more entertaining than a problem.
I'll more than likely be driving or at least have a license this time next year.
I'll more than likely be driving or at least have a license this time next year.
good luck driving from london, i wouldn't even want to do that and i've been driving for two years [editline]08:26PM[/editline] the fuel cost was loads even for mark, you'd have much further to drive
good luck driving from london, i wouldn't even want to do that and i've been driving for two years [editline]08:26PM[/editline] the fuel cost was loads even for mark, you'd have much further to drive
If I'm taking 3 other people with me and they chip in for fuel costs it's a hell of a lot more cost efficient than taking the train. Easier too, straight to the campsite.
it really isn't easier, and you'd have to be really experienced and confident to drive that far when you haven't passed for too long. there's the risk of getting lost and crashing. hexxeh wasn't even advised to drive to the campsite if he was going to just pass his test. and mark ended up spending around £60 for petrol.
And your ass will hurt.
I'll more than likely be driving or at least have a license this time next year.
At a maximum of 35MPH?
At a maximum of 35MPH?
40 on the motorway :eng101:

(I paid £60 for wednesday to friday, that doesn't include my insurance or the £55 I paid on the monday on fuel) What you have to remember is, driving is what I do, in the past month excluding the camping trip I'd done 3000+ miles in that car (including a 900 mile round trip to Fort William), which I have been driving nearly solidly for more than 2 years. I wouldn't even contemplate it if I'd done less than 6 months driving, and I'd certainly want to have lots of motorway and around london practice before I did it, but that's just me (I didn't do my first long distance run until 8 months after I had passed, but I built the distance up around home, just buzzing round racking up miles) [editline]08:37PM[/editline]
40 on the motorway :eng101:
Don't even joke about doing 40 on the motorway... I've seen people do it and it makes me want to ram them.
Yeah that's what I was trying to say. I'll stick to the trains, it wasn't a hassle to get the train at all.

In scotland as soon as you get your driving lisence you can do 70 on the motorway/dual carriage and depending on the strees up to 50-60 lol
It's the same in England, I get the impression it was either a moped or a london underground joke.
Not sure how it relates to LU at all.
July is fine. I won't be able to go in August, and Hezzy think's July is perfectly okay too.
OVERRULED :frog: JULY IT IS!
Anyone got any ideas for another meet-up before then? People were saying laser tag or paintball and shit at the camp, which is pretty fun but it doesn't really justify the journey for some of us. [editline]08:51PM[/editline] Also fuck you guys July is shit, its like a wannabe August
I just went paint balling for the first time today, it was great fun. Was thinking about organising a trip sometime before camping, it would have to be somewhere central though.
We'll probably have more London meetups before long, as well as the paintballing acezorz is talking about.
Oh fuck I just had an awesome/stupid idea. Remember how we also said having a meet-up in suits etc would be pretty interesting? Paintball + suits = Reservoir Facepunchers. [sp]Mark said you could get £15 suits somewhere I think... Maybe I was just completely out of my head at the time.[/sp]

They give you coveralls to go over the top though, so it would be pointless. Paintballing is excellent fun.
