Ah bugger, weekdays, can't do it. Bloody shame.
If some people want to come but can't due to dates then we could modify it a bit, nothing is set in stone, but also remember that you'd be sleeping at my house if you stay the night, and I can only accommodate about 3 more people.
Bengley assisted me with transport organization for whenever the next camping trip is, six changes but I should get there in approximately nine hours.
Heh, where do you live exactly? And how much is that costing you?
Heh, where do you live exactly? And how much is that costing you?
Northern Ireland, it is costing around £100 return. I am still considering flying (money isn't an issue) to get there quicker, but I may enjoy the 9hr travel. It would be something like this.
Well, this time last year a flight from Belfast to an airport near the lakes would certainly have been cheaper, these days I'm not so sure. Also if you're going through Chester why don't you just go straight to Preston and then Windermere from there? Seems a bit silly to go all the way to London only to go half way back again.

I don't know my directions there, Bengley wrote up a rough plan for me. I'm evidently not trying to make arrangements now, I was just curious that it will be feasible for me to get there. Thankfully, it is
Well I am still awake as my cold has reached the point at which sleep becomes impossible. Thought the nest big do could do with some folky stuff so i plan to learn the uilleann pipes.
You could get a ferry to liverpool, fleetwood or maybe even blackpool or barrow. Going all the way to London doesn't make much sense
Agreed, besides I doubt you'd want to carry much more than the maximum weight limit for flying on a train/ferry. It's also not as if we don't have shops over here, you could go shopping in Windermere when you arrive (the supermarket booths has an entrance from the actual station) and then someone could pick you up. Also Bengley is a numpty. Why would you want to go to London? that's an extra unnecessary 5 hours from the Lakes.
I'm not a numpty, I also got him rail fares to Windermere and Newbury Racecourse, the Windermere one being £75 return.
I'm not a numpty, I also got him rail fares to Windermere and Newbury Racecourse, the Windermere one being £75 return.
... Newbury racecourse?
... Newbury racecourse?
iSeries LAN parties.
iSeries LAN parties.
Ahhh. I have some lost property kicking around here, 1 torch and 1 military style water bottle in black. Torch was in my tent, water bottle was in my car a long with the bacardi breezers lawrence *had* claimed, but I guess I'll just have to drink it myself :sigh: I also found the handle to the fire shiter of Dower's but I killed it.

I think that torch is mine Mark, but it was only a quid so feel free to do what you want with it.
I think that torch is mine Mark, but it was only a quid so feel free to do what you want with it.
Consider it burnt.
I will probably go next year, looked like good fun.
That water bottle belongs to Angus, I believe. Wait and see what he says about it.
Anyone else noticed their sleeping pattern has changed since they got back? I now go to bed at 1 and get up at 10/11.
I was like that before we even mentioned camping :v:
Not particularly, no.
Go to bed at 3:00 wake up at 13:00 :downs: Was like that before I went though...
bed at 23.00, up at 06.30... happy days
Hmm.. If it just was in Sweden or North Germany or Denmark...

internet irl is awkward "I've got a spatula bitch" yeahhhhhhhh
internet irl is awkward "I've got a spatula bitch" yeahhhhhhhh
dunno if you heard but people laughed at that. i don't remember any part of the trip being awkward at all.
How was that in any way internet related. You could get someone that met in person already and they could say that.
usually the people that think a situation is awkward are the only ones that feel awkward at all. Which makes it awkward for them. It's a vicious cycle.
