anyone who plans to travel in london on the tube or buses more than once should just buy an oyster card. it's only £3 for the deposit and you've saved that once you've bought 2 zone 1 singles.
He can use the oyster card to get from London Heathrow to London Euston and vice-versa. Apart from that, he'll need a train ticket to get from Euston to Windermere.
you can also get the train from heathrow airport to central london without an oyster card so really it's not worth it. also depends which terminal he's going from etc. but i really don't think it'd be worth it.
yeah if he books his tickets to leave from London Heathrow, he won't need an Oyster Card anyway.
Remember he's not just coming for the camping trip, he might be going back to London for a while after or something.
Yeah, I'll probably be there for two weeks, so I plan to head back to London after the trip and site see.
it's worth remembering that the credit you put on an oyster card never expires and you can return the card and get your £3 back if you want to

in short: just buy an oyster card
25th-30th would be the best option for me probably.
I want to go stay for ten days.
I'll bring a boombox of animal collective, shit makes you feel weird.
25th-30th sounds good to me.
Gotta check my school dates. Converting to a shitty academy this year, so dates might be earlier or later. If everything is good, 25th-30th sounds good to me too.
well i will give you some excellent advice for when you do move to england, NEVER START A SENTENCE WITH 'HELL'
[editline]02:03PM[/editline]
why not have a winter camping trip. hunt for your own food or sit shivering until your parents pick you up
Would 'bollocks' be more appropriate? :v:
you don't really start a sentence with 'bollocks' but it is an awesome one to use to curse with, or use instead of bullshit.
'THAT'S ABSOLUTE BOLLOCKS MATE'
I know, lol. I'm just fucking with you guys.
Wish I could come on this trip, sounds awesome. I love camping, but I don't have a thousand dollars to spend on a ticket to London D:
Cunt > most derogatory words
Just as well. I have this weird thing where if I'm around someone with an accent (to me) long enough I start to talk like them :v: Happened a lot with my friend from Yorkshire when we used to play online games and talk over voice.
I'm sure it'd be rather awkward to be surrounded by Brits and talking like one, poorly, without realizing it. :v:
If only my parents weren't so damn protective I would be with you guys... *Sigh* There is always next year when I hit sixth form and get my car.
Cunt > most derogatory words
It is a rather fun word to use. I love how it sounds when you guys say it. Offensive, but at the same time it doesn't sound like something you should be bothered about.
Cunt > most derogatory words
Calling Zin908 :v:
Cunt > most derogatory words
Jobsworth cunt. Best insult ever.
Metallics just forward me a text from a paint balling company, offering us a major discount code if we book with them. We also get 300 paint balls free if we book 14 of us.
At the moment some of us are skint, so we'll probably organise something later this year, most likely near London. I'll most likely make a separate thread for it, but who here would be up for it? It'll be sometime in the Autumn/Winter.
Yes
Winter and autumn is awesome
Count me in.
As long as I can stay the night at someones house/someone can find me a cheap as fuck hotel, yes, definitely.
I might be able to provide for some people at my place in London, but not sure how many.
I'm in
I'm the same as LordLoss
Sorry I'm a pussy.
I won't be going paintballing.
Matt why do you keep phoning me? I think you're sitting on your phone or someone has hi-jacked it :v:
Phone sometimes decides to unlock itself and starts calling random people. Since you are now at the top of my phonebook you get the brunt of it :p
I'll add a decoy to the top of my phonebook to stop it happening.
I might be able to provide for some people at my place in London, but not sure how many.
My house has more than adequate place for about 3 people, well more if my parents are OK with it.
