You could use WD-40 on the throttle body but not in.. Carb cleaner isn't specialized and it's way cheaper than WD-40.
There is actually nothing to this dart, being an A body it was considered the compact of back then, only 2750-2900 with the old slant 6 in it on a base model, it can very easily be lowered if you change the bulky front suspension out to a tubular set up, put on a fiberglass hood, and throw an all aluminum engine in it I can see hitting below 2500 pounds with ease. The B (midsize) and E body cars (i forget, extended maybe?) (chargers being B and challengers being E as an example) on the otherhand are quite bulky, sitting around 3900-4300 for the charger and 3800-4100+ for the challenger. Chevy can sort of follow the same classification, their Nova can be comparable to he dart, being a small car of their lineup weighing in at near the same as the dart and the chevelle being comparable to the mid size line up of dodge. The weight of the old cars is quite comparable to the new ones, the new charger SRT weighs in around 4300 pounds, it still is a midsize car, and the dart being around 3000-3200 pounds, which is like a loaded V8 Dart, still classified as a compact car. The best thing to compare would be the weight of high end luxery boats from now and then but im not going to bother as yo can google that yourself you feel like pursuing this topic more (not directed towards anyone). TL/DR: weight difference between old cars and new isnt much, just trying to be informative.

Back then it was steel, today is it all the excess safety and emissions crap. Hell, the safety is necessary, there is at least 2 or 3 wrecks every day in atlanta and on friday almost aways a fatality because idiots try to rush home from work.

Finally put a new exhaust on my 75, the old one was just too ugly and big Old one, straight pipe untill the end damper The new one is only mid-damper
gearbox is freshly rebuilt, hasn't been reinstalled on the supra and it is already fucked. Shop fucked up and they are going to fix their mistake but FFS it is a 2 week setback before driving the supra again
Went around with a friend, theirs a small car junkyard near his house. Snuck in (walked by a group of people and sayed Hi.) and looked at some cars. Alot of them were kinda on their last limbs. Like this El Camino. [t]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1031910/Img%20Dump/2013-03-29%2017.54.20.jpg[/t] But then.... Got this line for the GF's S13. The old line is just brittle rubber that is going to crack soon. Going to attempt to install it if I don't feel lazy to jack the car up. Need to flush and fill her transmission fluid too. Lately, its been a battle to be lazy or to risk my face being crushed under the car
Have you considered looking into auto repair classes at a local trade school? $400 for ~5 months of classroom learning and access to a shop with hydraulic lifts and a fuckload of tools. Plus in my case the teacher is fucking awesome.
I wish. My community college requires you to take tons of courses before you can even touch an engine. I don't got that much time to waste, plus $1000's of dollars in tuition just to learn how to work on cars.
meanwhile I get it all for free... lole denmark.
meanwhile I get paid for it... lole norway.
meanwhile I get paid for it... lole norway.
I'd get paid for it if I had done it when I was over 18, but I did it when I was 16.
I think I'd get paid even if I was over 18, but I'd also get paid to do it when I'm 16 (now) Currently I'm getting paid $476 every month just to live at home and go to school, I even get a free bus card :v:
Why are you getting free money. I want my free money.

Where the fuck did you get that kind of money? :|
Divorced parents, a little sister and my mom had 0 wealth and made $31 646 in 2010. Oh, and the town I live in gives all teenagers that go to high school, or whatever it's called, $171 every month just to live at home. (they also refund a bus card that works anytime, not just between school and home on schooldays like the one I get from the county does)

finally got around to putting a non worn-out engine in my minibike. While I was at it I put on a larger gas tank off a riding mower, a different sized sprocket, and a 3 foot magnoflow pipe.
Still trying to track down the cause of the engine running rich. I replaced all the vacuum lines under the hood with new stuff. 8' in total. Even with new stuff the VSV's were leaking bad enough to throw the idle out so I had to add clamps to stop it.

Check o2 sensors. Check spark plugs / ignition. Clean fuel system & throttle body.

I did some troubleshooting and found out my TPS sensor was bad and my IACV was dirty (whistling pretty bad.) I replaced the TPS sensor and cleaned the IACV, it doesn't seem to be running nearly as rich now. Just a couple of ideas for you to look into. As far as what I've worked on, nothing yet. Waiting on an alignment cam and bushing for my left rear trailing arm, as well as two outer tie rods, to finish up my steering overhaul. My right rear tire is at like 0.07 degrees toed in, the left rear is toed in like 0.45 degrees. The bolt is frozen stuck and the only way out is cutting it, or possibly heat which could destroy the bushing. I figured I should order the parts just in case since it was only $15+shipping.
My subaru is PZEV and is programmed to run lean. lol
My subaru is PZEV and is programmed to run lean. lol
I never even knew Subaru made pzev's. But, then again, im more familiar with older models (pre-05)
