for your before pics, did your badges get stolen or something? people keep stealing the badges on my aunt's BMW M6. she bought it brand new in 2010 and has had to replace the badges 6 times since then
The before pictures were taken the morning I took the car to the autobody shop to get painted, I took off some trims and badges so that they wont have to worry about it.
Why does your radio say Nissan
Probably something from the radio station that it was on.
"I didn't like my lights so check this comparison of what they look like if you're standing in front of it and not what they look like at night from the drivers seat"
I never understood this, personally.

Wow, it looks so sad :v:
I hate your new interior btw, makes it look so cheap.

But... if you don't like the look of the headlights themselves doesn't mean they don't light up well. He just wanted to change their looks.
...and I can't see my headlights (the lamps themselves for those who seriously didn't understand that) from the driver's seat, if you can, you've probably been in an accident.

I'm sorry but the carbon wrap doesn't fit at all, The paintjob however is really nicely done!

he stated his lights were dim.
so he showed us a picture of them shining at the camera, and not a picture of what the new beam looked like.
Finally got my goodies in today...

Oh god no, you bought DEPO headlights?! Should have kept your stock ones, installed angel eyes and just tidied them up a bit with some PlastX :( Sorry I just can't stand the DEPO bug-eyed look...
The rest is great though, did you have the WHOLE car re-sprayed or something?
Cool, look what UPS brought me for my head swap

I got a full respray of the car
I couldn't be bothered to spend $$$ on a torque wrench.
I would go to harbor freight and buy one, use it for half of the project, then return it and get a new one for the other half.
[editline]10th February 2014[/editline]
But snap-on is amazing. Just too expensive.
I figured why not, since it's something with indefinite use. Plus, the whole point of a torque wrench is to get things exact, so i don't want to question a cheap torque wrench.

Exactly.
I have 3 different torque wrenches all the smallest one being a snap on.
1/2 Craftsman "Micro-Clicker"
3/8 Craftsman Dr.Beam old school styled one.
and a 3/8 Snap-On ckickky one.
And by far I love the Snap-On one over the Craftsman, just responds better.
(Also digital ones suck whale penis)

I hate everything about smoked tail lights, they always look terrible, they are a danger to other drivers(when done improperly 90% of the time) and ruin the effect that nicely kept clean taillights have to break up the rear end of a vehicle. Going with a retrofit and some LED Halos from TheRetrofitSource would have been really badass on the stock lights. I have a buddy with an E36 M3 that had Depo headlights and he absolutely hated them. The only things that seemed to be decent about them were the foglights.
Also there's some really nice Di-Noc woodgrain vinyl out there, I would have gone with hydrodipping the stock pieces since vinyl always seems to look cheap especially in a luxury car.
Otherwise, the car looks clean as hell!

Not the high quality ones
when I was like 15 I thought smoked tail lights looked really good on black cars

Because showing off the beam of new headlights that aren't projectors is boring especially when the point of posting the pictures in the first place is to show how the car looks with the sharp white light instead of shit amber.
On that note here's a better picture of the new lights since the last picture was too dark:

Am I the only one who thinks that BMW 3 series looks awesome??

Whats the proper way of 10% of the time?
Just curious cause all I can think is don't tint too dark, or upgrade the bulbs to bright LED's or something.

Got my new wheels in the mail today for the back from Summit. Fast as hell shipping. I also got my sewing machine and hit the town on my fabric that I bought. I'll make a seperate thread for that to showcase if that project even turns out right...
Now I can stare at these and wish I could afford tires...

New rims are always so nice, when I got my billet specialties in I spent a good 15 minutes looking at them saying "god damn this is so fucking trick"

the e30 and e46 is p cool, e36 is only good for the engine and how cheap they are.
e36s are like the s13 of europe.
The E92 is pretty nice, too.
[editline]11th February 2014[/editline]
Though I've been falling in love with the E34 wagon lately myself. (E30, E34, E38, and E39 are my favorite bimmers)

I'm feeling the same way, so I left them out of the box for the day... soon I can buy tires... maybe...

I am thinking about taking off the depo lights and using the OEM headlights and adding angel eyes and maybe projectors to that. Would that be good?
Why not just keep the new stuff, it looks fresh
Looks bad too me, looks a little too flashy (could be the picture, though)
uggh if there's one thing I hate it's working in the cold and it was fucking cold this morning (-9 with windchill).
The battery in our taurus gave up the ghost so I went to get a new battery welp I get about 1/8th of a mile down the road and the front driver side tire blows ok get in the trunk and get the spare and look for my gloves nope not in there.... I change the tire while simultaneously freezing my balls off (smart me goes eh I'm only going down to advanced a UA hoodie and jeans are fine right?)
Get the battery put it in the taurus and all should be good right hahaha nope still won't start only now the fuel pump won't kick on (it did before we replaced the battery) break out the carb cleaner and it starts ok open the PD box and the fuel pump relay is bongo'd so by this time the other car is gone. So I ghetto engineer a jump wire for the relay drive it to advanced and get a relay and all is peaches and puppy dogs 3 1/2 hours in -9 later.....
