Human grime.
But really I would wear gloves too because brake dust.

You know how grimy you get after handling oil-laden parts all day? Your hands and fingers become dry biscuits.
The girlfriend will not be happy

i find it annoying under the finger nails.... i usually wear gloves too.

All 2013+ subarus are now required to be PZEV.
found a inputshaft for my R154
I made bacon while welding on my AE86 today.
that is out of my finger.
it was very nice.
All 2013+ subarus are now required to be PZEV.
Interesting. Wonder if it applies to the WRX thats supposedly coming out soonish?
Got my walbro 255 today, it's in good shape alright, can't wait to install it, except my new fuel sock doesn't fit.
Shit got real again.
Someone put up a set of lowering springs with 30k miles on them for half the original price, jumping on that.
Too bad I can't buy the set of Bilstein B6's that went with them.
But still
Edit, nope. Rant in GD
Vacuum leaks doesn't make you run rich anyways, they make you run lean.
Check o2 sensors. Check spark plugs / ignition. Clean fuel system & throttle body.
Lines needed replacement anyways as they had gone brittle after a head-warping overheat in 2011.
The emissions system in the early Tracker is really, really simple. It all fits on two pages along with the entire electrical system for the car.
**schematic**
Aside from the air temp, pressure, TPS module and the injector the entire emissions sytem (including the computer) has been replaced or tested and assured working, yet the engine runs rich enough to release excess moisture (not from the coolant system) and soot (no excess oil consumption) which clogs up the EGR to the point the engine knocks and fail emissions tests with spectacular readings that are more than double the allowed limit and peg the sampling equipment. The last owner was nice enough to keep the old AirCare report sheets and you can see that over seven years there was a steady rise in hydrocarbons and NoX as the engine began to run more and more rich. The idea is that if I keep repalcing the cheap parts I'll eventually hit on whatever is causing the problem.
TPS and MAP(pressure?) being busted could make it run rich and or bog. Have you ever assessed your fuel injection system? Is the fuel pressure to spec?
Are you positive that everything is original such as the ECU and Fuel Injection bits?
Are you positive that your timing is correct after your "head-warping overheat"? Cam timing being off could cause emissions to be shit.
What is your vehicle again?
Check your damn O2 sensors. And if you're truly running pig rich, your catalytic converter is probably junked.
Clean your MAF sensor, check air filter, change if possible. Check for exhaust leaks before the front bank O2. Check for leaky injectors, wrong fuel pressure. Etc.
The computer was replaced after the original one blew up when a botched ALDL interface was attached, O2 sensor was replaced six months ago. Injector has not been assessed at all yet and the car has no MAF or anything close to that. It is a very, very simple system.
I do however have a new fuel filter in the mail.
No MAF? So your car is carburated or el cheapo?
If it doesn't have a MAF, check the MAP sensor, it probably does a bit of its job.
Honda's don't have MAF's either, the MAP does all of it's job.
TPS sensors are pretty cheap normally, they are easy to test too. I'd start there then move across anything else you can test yourself.
I'm not really aware of Honda MAP sensors having problems so it could probably not be that.
Yeah, check for any sort of exhaust leaks before the O2. Maybe a manifold gasket.
I'd also try to borrow another ECU if possible, make sure the right injectors are in there since it sounds like everything has been messed with so far. When you solve the issue I'd highly suggest changing the O2 and Cat since both will probably be toast from running so rich.
Fuel filter would make it run leaner from lowering fuel pressure actually, I'd have the fuel pressure tested if nothing else comes through..
Here's a better link for your schematic.

Also, are you positive the timing is all correct?
[editline]1st April 2013[/editline]
You don't happen to have any check engine lights right?
You're sure you have the right ECU too right? It seems like those suzuki's have a ton of specific ECU's for Cali/Fed/Year.
There's major issues with drivability right? Are you getting any backfiring, ect.?
My damn back brakes keep grabbing on my 91 'sploder. Today I took both back wheels off and checked everything. Nothing's wore out, gouged, or sticky. Cleaned it all up and put it back together. I also replaced the master cylinder and replaced all the brake fluid. Nothing.
It's getting worse and I really would rather not skid to a stop if I push down on the brake pedal any more than barely.
Tomorrow's job, the tension rod bushings on the GF's S13.
Tools:
1x hacksaw
1x box of matches
148x "oh shit, fuck"
Unplug line to MAP. Engine dies.
That about enought to tel me the sensor is working.
I'll try testing the TPS as I already have weird idle loping when the ECU is suppost to take the car out of closed loop mode. It's as if it can't find the right idle position so it revs up and down.
I also realized my thermostat is still being bypassed by a hole I drilled in it to relieve high pressure from a leaking head gasket. Without the hole the thermostat was sticking shut. I should replace that as the ECU needs to accurately know the coolant temp.
BRB FINDING WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE R154 (at the shop with the tech)
also swapping inputshaft.
Installed Grant wheel, and removed cracked and faded old green wheel. It'll do for now till I find a black mopar wheel. Refinished some of the dash, and got it ready for repainted plastic trim. Door panels recovered and new 270 emblems installed on each door.

I hated that green interior on an orange car. Didn't look good at all.
Lookin' Good Serj.
Lost a square key and 3 alan bolts on the minibike today.
fixed it with hose clamps.
I've got hose clamps on my hose clamps.
i accedently a differential drain plug

then I replaced all my power steering lines with braided ones because the stock ones overheat near the turbo

Also going here this weekend, already bleed and swapped my brakes among the other trackprep shit. all that's left is that damn boot, replace the diff, replace a pair of front LCA bushings with poly ones, then align it. Maybe I'll get a dashcam mount

fucking moneypit, also I still exist but I'm lazy and read sensationalist headlines too much
Found out what was going on with my R154 (freshly rebuilt)
The abs sensor is not on the trans (still hanging under the car) and a FUCKING MOUSE MADE IT'S WAY INTO THE TRANS. Turned out that I fucking murdered the fucker by turning the inputshaft by hand and the remains was what made the resistance/blockage.
at least I took the opportunity to swap the input shaft.
nothing is easy... I guess...
ps: Blood is best transmission oil

Surface prep work, ridges removed and smoothed, cylinder hone, general cleaning.
Thanks to my friend Tim, he's been working on Chevy blocks since forever and currently working on a 1960 C10. Its amazing how much you can do when you just, do it. We did all this within an hour? Last thing to do now is to purchase new bearings and piston rings. Next thing you know it will be back together.
Replaced outer tie rod ends
Replaced left rear toe bolt
Did a full alignment
Handles twice as good, but ffs, ive still got some play between the wheels and every part is new. Ive got play in my wheel and a knock, but im probably 75% sure its the steering shaft u joint

what the fuck lol
>the abs sensor hole
>there was a hole
>bitch mickey mouse got in
>decided to take a nap or something between the input shaft first hear hub and countershaft gear
>I turn trans over by hand and feel a resistance and blockage
>keep turning the input shaft and always feel the weird resistance and noise at the same place in the rotation
>take trans back to shop for warranty fix
>we disassemble it and find mouse remains, flesh, blood and what used to be mouse everywhere on those two gears
>wtf for the rest of the day

Welded new exhaust tips on the comp-g, no more pig snouts finally.
