Here you go Shiban
Perfect! What kind or relay is that? Is there a particular part number I can purchase?
That's your regular type of relay. Should be able to get one at pretty much any car parts store.
bosch type is a real common name, 5 pin relay, SPDT relay, etc.
That's neat. I did not know they had Can-bus alarms... But wouldn't he still require to have the updated CCM to even have the wireless capability and functionality that hes looking for? That alone might be a pain in the ass to install and get working.
Nope, the CAN-controlled alarms read out the CAN network constantly, and when the owner uses their remote to open the doors, the alarm is deactivated.
-pics not working- Replaced the carbon fiber wrapped trim for OEM black trim from a junk yard in great condition. I'm really satisfied with this look. It was a pain in the ass to replace the radio cover flap, I broke my original piece to get it out but I'm ok with that

That's mostly for diagnostic and all that, no talking going on for Keyless and such on those lines. On a newer CAN-Bus VW it'd be solid for that. But I guess in the end we're more worried about adding keyless with a factory-style VW flipkey, as opposed to integrating an aftermarket alarm into a factory keyless system.

The only way I can see this key thing being possible is by hooking it to the can-bus or cracking their system so you can adjust your device to that.

You got a bit of snow on the windshield.

There's no alarm or existing system (except a central locking system), so that shouldn't be a problem. And if the idea in DP's link works, the only problem should be the immobilizer.

No you couldn't program an OEM key to an aftermarket system since that would require knowing the manufacturer's rolling code generation algorithm, and that's some super secret stuff.
Yeah, I figured so much. I'm reading up on PT2262 chips and the like though, that should be pretty possible, right? [editline]27th February 2014[/editline] Putting one in a VW key, that is.
You got a bit of snow on the windshield.
i cleared enough to see on the drivers side :P
Oh god, shiban sorry I completely ignored your thing on sidemarkers. It is super easy on volvos and is probably the same on the nissan. [img]http://www.volvoclub.org.uk/faq/Images-Parts/SidemarkerWiring.gif[/img] Look at the bottom panel. I wired each side of the marker to each of the turn signal wires. I did not ground the light surprisingly either. It works perfectly. TBH you can wire them up either way, but by wiring them up my way, you get opposite blinking with headlights on and they blink together when the headlights are off. I changed the oilpan in my Audi. Noticed plastic chunks in the bottom of the pan, praying its a chain tensioner that has been replaced. (In fact I kinda know it has been replaced because the first service I had done to it was to change all 3 chain tensioner and the timing belt tensioner. Annnnd I slightly had a derp moment. I was trying to put the oil pan and gasket on together and that would have never worked out so I stuck the gasket to the bottom of the block and then stuck the oil pan on without having to fight it. SIMPLE MY GOD WHY DID I NOT ATTEMPT THAT FIRST.

[editline]27th February 2014[/editline] Putting one in a VW key, that is.
Honestly for the price I'd try one of those VW lookalike keyless units I posted. If it's garbage, $30 wasted.. if its good, it's good. Then do one of the two options I mentioned for the immob and you're good. Siminov.. I'm trying to wrap my head around your circuit but damn does it hurt. On the circuit you made if you turn the parking lights on, all 3 bulbs will light up, with the turn signal and side marker being lit at half voltage (6v) because they're in series to ground. What the hell am I missing?
I talked to another mate about the unit you posted Clutch and he kept saying something about "double pulse unlock" Only thing I can think of is the alarm sending out 2 pulses to unlock the doors (first pulse for driver door and the second for all the rest) and apparently that alarm does not do that to my understanding from him. I wouldn't know if this is a huge hindrance in this type situation or not? Or could you just slap a relay on the fucker and call it a day?
Felt like doing something, remembered the popular radiator shroud mod. Supposedly its fairly effective. Spent $10 on a 14x28" sheet of 26ga steel and $11 on some sheers to cut it. Cut it to 4"x24", cut some slots for things, shaped it a bit, bolted it on, seems to work good Before: [t]http://i.imgur.com/HaWmOTK.jpg[/t] After; [t]http://i.imgur.com/IhVuvwC.jpg[/t] Not too bad imo. First time ive really worked with sheet metal
So I got this for my Z600, plan on getting it out of my backyard by the end of the summer. Next thing is to get a transmission from the salvage yard, then devise a why to mount it up. Then brakes/suspension, and last but not least, looks.

Also, does anyone know how to remove the prong from a key fob battery? The new battery is on the left and the old on the right. I need to make the prongs into a "V" to make it fit the circuit board. Any help?
You sure you got the right one? If you're saying you need to make it the same shape as the old one (90*), I don't think it's possible, unless the rear one slides around or something.
Welp, found the culprit... [t]http://i.imgur.com/EzAS5Xa.jpg[/t] At least it's only a $30 part I guess. Now to wait like a year for it to get here :(
Got that shiny new arm installed [t]http://i.imgur.com/TduAHTS.jpg[/t] To put everything all back together took me from like 9:30 to 3am so like... five and a half hours? Not too bad I'd say for someone who has never pulled a transmission before, lol. Gotta go get an alignment first thing in the morning though... took a little drive around the block and it's all sorts of fucked up.
Had to replace my rocker cover gasket due to a slight oil leak, common problem. Whilst the inlet was off I decided to spray it as it just looked crap. Then washed the car. Before I get into the nitty gritty stuff of modding my Wrangler I decided to focus on some of the more cosmetic things to sort of make my Jeep stand out as something unique to me. So I went ahead and ordered some good sized Black Mesa Research Facility logos for my doors. I also made a mock parking permit :) It's even on a nice thick cardstock so it's not flimsy; I also laminated it to add the extra protection from the elements.

Your wheels are the shit
Oh god, shiban sorry I completely ignored your thing on sidemarkers. It is super easy on volvos and is probably the same on the nissan. TBH you can wire them up either way, but by wiring them up my way, you get opposite blinking with headlights on and they blink together when the headlights are off.
That's what the 240SX community already came up with. I could always just splice the power from the turn signal wire. But like you said, when the headlights are on, they blink in alternating sequence which is what I'm trying to avoid. The way Clutch wired it, if it does indeed work, it will blink together and stay on with the parking lights. I found the relay part number too any generic one with "RY115" because it has a mount flange so you can bolt it on somewhere. Generic 5-pin. I wonder if 4-pins can be used as well. Trying to do it with JDM lighting laws where the turn signals blink with the sidemarkers.
Changed oil. Found a coolant leak, luckily it was simply the clamp on the top radiator hose being too loose. Never noticed it before because it only happened when the car was hot and running
Removed the old stock replacement piece of crap radiator. I installed the new one. It takes up more real-estate, but has two cores to cycle through as well. Cooling efficiency is now a day and night difference. Also I put some 100lb helpers on the springs to help keep the wheels out of the wheel wells. No more rubbing. Great $25 investment.
