no, runs through the passenger compartment along the raceways or along the center
junkyards you'd be ok knifing up the carpet and digging out the wire. I'd bring an angle grinder, knife, wrenches, and some scissors. Use the grinder to cut up the firewall around the harness and then unbolt the harness from all sides. The sucky part is you may have to remove the terminal clamps - I'm sure BMW laid this cable, then the carpet, then the seats, etc... so to pull it out, you may have to remove the clamps.
Did I miss something, why are we talking about gutting the heavy gauge power wire out of a BMW in the boneyard in the first place?

Slayer is under the assumption that the cable contains B_STM_W cells, much like stem cells from an umbillical cord. He believes the B_STM_W cells will repair his Honda.
Slayer is thinking of moving his battery to the rear.
Really, all you'd need is some big gauge wire and some terminal clamps. I'm a little worried about how you'd connect the new wire to the old wires, especially the positive wire (the negatives could just be bolted to the chassis)
Ahhh, I see. Should be pretty easy.
If you wanna move your battery to the back of the car just get a big old 0ga (or maybe 4ga if it's a tiny little car without much power consumption) amplifier kit. Use a fuse holder or distribution block to connect the old battery cable to the new battery cable.
Re-ground the engine to the chassis, too, if necessary, since some engine grounds lead directly to the battery's negative post.
I usually pick up 0ga by the foot from skyhigh car audio on ebay. It's true gauge, from what I can tell, and is OFC stranded wire. I like.

Snatch up one of these

And a 2nd one if you only need to connect to 1 fat wire at the old battery spot. Or else if there's many wires..

i moved my battery to the trunk yesterday on the e30, because my dad stole my battery and he only had a huge 300$+ one left laying around, just used audio cables that some previous owner put in.
and oh god does it like it, rev counter almost started working again now.
How does a rev counter "almost work"?
e30s have these si batteries in the cluster, and when they have low power the rev counter will bounce a bit up every once in a while, and they're the last thing that get charged in the car, so it started bouncing up and then back to 0
[editline]14th April 2014[/editline]
so with time, it'll work again.
I must say, I have learned to appreciate some of the shit you have to deal with on older cars!
Removed the fuel rail
bored it
tap'd it on both end for an-6
Started to rain and I had to rush back inside
Gotta reinstall it tomorrow along with the afpr and make a bracket for the regulator.

I assumed that it would be easy to access, already have a positive terminal on it that's soldered on and provide some extra footage for a ground, ect. However, in the process I seem to have forgot it's a BMW and something as simple as removing a wiring harness wouldn't be easy. It would also be cheaper/free.
Had my S13 aligned professionally at a shop. All the settings were off; that's the last time I'm going to an uncalibrated alignment rack at some random shop. Got it to stock specs and all is great.

Helped my friend do an LED bulb install on his gauge cluster at some car meet lot lol. Some people amaze me how they can go on to rebuild a whole transmission and engine but the simplest of tasks like gauge cluster removal is a mystery to them

Attempted to clean some wheels today, I tried degreaser on a rag + high pressure cleaner (It's a proper good one yo, not one of those plastic wand ones) and got less results than the cheapy wash and wax stuff.
The rag got chewed out from the rubbing insanely quick.
This is one of the wheels

Just to clarify, this is what it should look like (yes I noticed the dust too)
[t]http://i.imgur.com/NeNF75S.jpg[/t]
Also my tyres are getting rusty, I better sand them back :v:

Always clean your wheels regularly folks
I'll probably get some tyre shine too...
Tires... rusty? I have never heard of or encountered this.
Whats next? Rusted radiator hoses, rusted bushings, or a rusted windows?
It has to be rusting brake dust bonded to the tire, right?

I know a few people like that and teaching them is not always an easy thing. I'm diggin them blue LEDs, to bad I got some normal green bulbs for my cluster, shits bright tho yo.

Was it the actual removal that was the problem? 'Cause some people really struggle with electricity and such. I'm studying a sort of electrical engineering course, and even in my class, there are people that still don't understand how electricity works quite.
Electricity is really simple and I know how it works but I still can't work with it. It's just so damn difficult.
I recently sent my 2nd steering wheel to an upholstery to put some new smooth leather on it.

How much was it? That looks brand new!
Got that used steering wheel with worn leather (really bad shape) of ebay for 132€
And the service for the new leather took me 127€
I could choose the leather, color, stitch color after my own taste.
Can't complain, because a new steering wheel with airbag directly from BMW would cost you around 800-1000€ if I remember correctly.
Got a nasty vibration in my truck yesterday; only when in gear and accelerating though. so I put new U-Joints and a new rear transmission mount in it. I love working at a shop where I have lift access after hours. Changed the U-Joints, transmission mount, oil, resealed my leaky rear diff(see picture), and welded a loose exhaust clamp all in 2 hours. Would've taken 4 in the driveway.

Also no more vibration :).

It's pretty much playing with Legos though, its a matter of choosing which parts to focus on first. I guess they have a phobia on electrical stuff but it's all plug and play. Let's see how long these Chinese LED's last.
My little brother's 2JZ alternator just died lol. I had to travel to a far away land to buy one from some hermit Vietnamese electrical wizard dude to get one. So easy to work on a single-belt pulley system :3

Here's some more things that have been perptrated by me in my lab
'13 Buick Regal for HID lows/fogs and some lighting. It's a million color LED kit for under the dash, seats, and in the grill. The grill LEDs can be cut off with a switch for driving so the interior ones still work. Didn't get an inside pics :( (but I do have a video for later)

Always fun stuff goin down lately.
When are you going to do things for my car?
Come to the 'great' state of WI sometime!
In June if you don't want snow.
God damn that Regal is ugly. And I thought the Insignia was bad...
That's what happens when you turn a base-model compact economy car into a 'luxury' car.
Really takes me back to this..
