The rims make it more of a ricer than the kit :)
Get the rims on that green stang
Well there are a bunch of 17" torq thrust based stock mustang rims for sale I was thinking of going with, but I dont know how well they would work with the kit. I found these http://www.kijiji.ca/v-tires-rims/st-albert/18-trd-rims-w-tires/587205484?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true http://www.kijiji.ca/v-tires-rims/strathcona-county/ford-black-rims-and-tires/1012891253 http://www.kijiji.ca/v-tires-rims/edmonton/mustang-rims-and-rubber/1011139528?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true [thumb]http://578e7a9bafc08e847f59-b21544d490ba797ec9de9d17e947de3d.r81.cf1.rackcdn.com/sve-1007db_1825.jpg[/thumb] the TRD's look like these SVE rims so I'd think they would look pretty cool, its all about finding a rim that completements the body kit though
I keep failing to take pics when I work on stuff, I have a real problem with multi-tasking and remembering shit, fuck. Anyway, I did some work on a friend's 96 Laredo with the i6. His water pump bearings were shot to hades and it was shredding serpentine belts like a mulcher. He drove it to my house, parked it and a bit later I went to work on it. So, I find it parked right on the very edge of the road, "ok I'll move it". Start and NO POWER STEERING, fucking what? Get it moved and.... wheres the fucking belt?! This guy drove his jeep to my house with no accessories what-so-ever. I grabbed the fan and it wobbled like it was going to fall off, and the remains of the belt were wrapped around the crank and fan. 2 hour replacement and all is good, was just hot as hell, I have no covered anything to hide from the sun so I work in direct sunlight most times. 60bux get.
0/10 not a shade tree mechanic
Yesterday and the car meet we started the box for my friend's Eclipse. Built weird to fit into the shape between the rear strut towers.. 6" Aero port and a 12" sub with PSI stage 2 soft parts and an MA audio hardKore series basket Super squeeze on the front face of the box, but a trim panel will cover it so it won't look weird. There wasn't really a plan for the size/measurements.. this box was all spitballing; taking a measurement in the car, cutting a board, taking another, etc until I had all the pieces I needed cut. Seafoamed my truck today, but there was no smoke show. Disappointed :(
You did it wrong then. Lol
Does SeaFoam actually do anything though? I've read horror stories about it fucking up cats and how it might actually be bad for high mileage vehicles that have never had anything like it done before.
It can hydro lock your engine if your fill the vacuum hose too fast. This thing does a lot of stuff, and it exist since the 1920-1930. Maybe i filled the vacuum hose too slow so it just burned right away. Some people say its because its clean some other say it should alway smoke.
It can hydro lock your engine if your fill the vacuum hose too fast. Well as long it doesnt stall its fine, some say that when you are about to empty your bottle, you pour it faster so it stall, then wait 10-15 minutes.
Okay! Thanks. I'll work on it tomorrow afternoon when I get home and i'll post an update.
Okay, I tested the spark plug wires while cranking it and I got a whole lot of nothing. Checked the "king" wire, nothing. So it must be the distributor right? Or would it be the ignition coil? When I bought the car, the ignition coil was uninstalled, and I put it back in (bolted it down with the funny ground wire, i'm assuming and plugged all the plugs back in the best I could). What do you think?
You know what's the best way to clean your engine? Disassemble it and re-assemble it with fresh gaskets while cleaning everything. I don't trust magicfoam.
You know what's the best way to clean your engine? Disassemble it and re-assemble it with fresh gaskets while cleaning everything. I don't trust magicfoam.
But that's hard, there's gotta be a magic juice I can squirt in my car to fix it!
You know what's the best way to clean your engine? Disassemble it and re-assemble it with fresh gaskets while cleaning everything. Romp on it anytime you drive it. My logic. In all cases I average 13mpg too.
I don't get smoke shows when using seafoam, my intakes design kinda fucks with that. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/h8mh8UJ.jpg[/thumb] It's the one on the right, and it's because of the valley pan. It just sits there...
Romp on it anytime you drive it. My logic. In all cases I average 13mpg too.
But 13 mpg with 160hp is sad.

What do you think?
If your coil wire is not giving spark, as you called it "king wire" then you know the coil, or that wire is bad. Coil delivers power to the dizzy in a fashion I don't care to explain right now, but anyway - Take the wire off the coil, put one of your spark plug wires in its place, then test it again. If it sparks now, then get a new wire set, because the one you had on there previously is broken (make sense hopefully?) if it doesn't work look at the coil. There is the large port where the spark comes from, and two small terminals. + and - Ensure there are wires attached to these - if not - then check all around because one of them fell off. If they are both there, and one goes to the dizzy hopefully, then replace the coil. Should be like $20 and super easy on most cars. Then go ahead and let us know how that goes. Good job btw. That's how mechanics do things. No need to change things that aren't broken. Take a picture of the coil too if you can so I can see what's up.
But 13 mpg with 160hp is sad.
Detail detail...
Detail detail...
I know but, if i could find what dropped the engine efficiency, i nearly have to go 3/4 throttle to climb a little hill, maybe the cata is the problem?

Done. Twelve rust spots were cut out and patched with almost seven square feet of new plate steel. Rust inhibitor has been sprayed down and I'll leave for the day to dry. Tonight I'll spray down a coat of rubber to seal the patches and prevent any additional moisture from getting at the floor again. This should get another few years out of the underside.
Kinda car related, I've found with the help of my security cameras that some scumbagfuckdouche in a ford explorer or expedition ran over my mailbox. So I'm fixing it. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/Bmrv66R.jpg[/thumb]
Does your mailbox sit on state or county right-of-way (aka along a state or county road)? The reason I'm asking is that if it does, don't make it TOO sturdy. Mailboxes along state or county roads 9/10 times have to be "crash worthy". If it isn't, and someone gets hurt or killed when they hit your mailbox, they can sue you.
Oh no, it's no state or county road. It's a small road with a max speed limit of 20 and 2 speed humps. I watched the videos and found he/she hit it with purpose and intent. I can youtube the videos if you care to see for yourself.

Fill it with cement
Naa, if I was gonna go that far I'd do what my grandfather did to stop his old neighborhoods "Mail-box Baseballers" Take a 1 1/2 or 2ft diameter PVC drain pipe, some smallish short bolts, washers and locknuts, a 6ft 4x4, 1/2 inch steel plate cut to the size of a large mailbox bottom, 6in long 1/2in wood bolts, one of those comically large mailboxes, a smaller one to fit in the bigger one and some quick crete. Lets say 2ft PVC drain pipe Mount steel plate to bottom of huge mailbox, you can fold the side lips over and drill some holes for the short bolts, add washers for strength because of thin metal, then put on the locknuts. Drill some holes fairly close at the corners of one end of the 4x4 then mark their position and hole distance. Make a cheat sheet by taking a piece of paper, holding it carefully-firmly on the 4x4 and take a pencil and lightly go over the paper with it, it'll shadow copy the end. Mark the hole spots on the steel plate where you want the box to go, because after a bit it'll never be leaving that spot again. Drill your holes, take your wood bolts and put them in then set the box on your 4x4 post, tighten them down with whatever method you choose. Now, take your small mailbox and remove it's door, you won't need it because the big box has one. Place the small box inside the big one and fill it with the quick crete. Mix it first you lunk, you know how that stuff works! :v: Fill the big box up and let it set. from here you may want some help, it gets (I assume) fucking heavy from here. Now you can anchor down in the ground where you want it, the PVC drain pipe. This is gonna be your next victim of quick crete. Once its planted at the height you want, move on. Next, you take the now weighted mailbox tank on it's post and place it in the pipe with more hopefully mixed quick crete, the crete comes after it's in place. After it sets you'll have a mailbox that can REALLY take a hit, because in some places destroying a mailbox is a federal offense. At least that's what I've been told. My grandfather did this in the 50s, he never had a problem again.
