We just have a 4x4 a couple feet in the ground or some shit with a box slapped on top. Couldn't find anything online about Indiana siding with people that hit mailboxes and get booboos, so whatever.
Ontopic of mailboxsive built afew heavy duty ones. 1/2" plate Upside down U fashion with two 2 3/8" drill pipe legs. 3/8" plate made to look like a farm barn with 4"square tubing 1/4" wall. And my most favorite one VW aircooled motor mounted on a peice of pipe 2. 3/8 oilfield. Had a larger hole made for mail made on the front were the crank is. And you stuck news papers were a fake alternator/gen was.
Some kids were taking mailboxes and ripping them by hand along with my dads friend. So my dads friend runs a farm with pigs, cows, stuff like that so you have to tattoo that you own them with ink. After getting the mailbox smashed a few times they fix it and take some of this pig ink, water it down a little, and paint the mailbox with it, mind you this shit speads really easy and once you touch something you might as well burn it because the ink isnt coming off. So the kids come by, rip the mailbox, and since its dark you cant see its covered in ink. Next day he runs into town and sees some kids pressure washing the inside of two pickups out, with ink marks on the box and all on their faces, and the rest you can kinda figure out. Its a federal offense, not private so when you damage public property you get the government involved and you can guess that the fine isnt cheap.
Finally ripped these shitty things out and replaced them with something a bit bigger and better. :) [thumb]http://i.gyazo.com/02e2204b25ee9c6bba593e38e5ea3f16.png[/thumb]
I never ever want to change the alternator on a Focus again... it's buried under here on the firewall side of the engine [t]http://i.imgur.com/uZmmynK.jpg[/t] Got some of the stuff out of the way... [t]http://i.imgur.com/lXdA11L.jpg[/t] Didn't get any more pictures but I ended up having to unbolt the passenger motor mount and move the motor forward to make room, and there was blood, but success! [t]http://i.imgur.com/Tj378eU.jpg[/t] Also I bought me a nissan hardbody a couple weeks ago that I've been working on fixing up a little [t]http://i.imgur.com/I3KG2x1.jpg[/t] So far I've changed engine oil, tranny oil, air filter, wiper blades, bunch of lights that were burned out, fan clutch, and stereo... and I have even more stuff on my list to do - tcase oil, diff oil, thermostat and coolant, a/c compressor clutch, plugs, wires, better speakers, maybe a sub if I find a deal on one, bunch of missing bits and pieces that I'm gonna try to pick up at the junkyard this weekend. Should be fun lol The stereo wiring was a fucking nightmare but it cleaned up decently [t]http://i.imgur.com/CZLRGdS.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/eyUUauH.jpg[/t]
Patched this shit.
Looks like it's not getting spark. The previous owner mentioned that he thinks that the ECU is dead and that the fuel injectors weren't getting any power. Would that have anything to do with not having spark from the coil?

Blood, sweat, tears and more cursing then even I care for.
Patched this shit.
Looks like it's not getting spark. The previous owner mentioned that he thinks that the ECU is dead and that the fuel injectors weren't getting any power. Would that have anything to do with not having spark from the coil?
Not enough information to make that assumption yet mate. You really really sure nothing is detached from the coil? If not and the coil is still not firing, and you replaced the coil - we go one more step back, and you check the ignition solenoid. Do you have a voltage tester to see if when you crank something is coming from the solenoid? It will look like a bunch of wires hanging off a small box next to your battery (hopefully) or it may be somehwere in the engine bay - or your ECU handles it, that ignition needs to work though, which it probably doesn't and is why you needed to make a jumper lead to try and start the car... To ensure your ignition switch itself is the cause - take a piece of 12v wire, and turn the key to the "on" position. Then attach the wire to the + side of the battery, then attach the other end to the smaller lead on the starter. There should be two wires on the starter, and it's usually the smaller lead. The car should crank under this circumstance. If it does not crank (and we know the starter is working) then you need to fix the ignition switch - unfortunately this will probably not fix your problem, but it needs to be done if you want to be able to start the car normally with the key. Also I've now told you how to accomplish 2/3 points needed to hot wire a car - please only use that information for good, not evil. if you go all the way back to the ecu- in which case, take your ECU out - go find a friend with an MR2, insert it in their car, and if their car no longer runs, you found your problem. Without a friend with one - the only real way to go about it is to find a known working one and replace it. This is all easily done with some kind of fluke or any electrical tool that will read a low voltage signal. Once you find the component not outputting voltage - you found the culprite.
Okay, i'm pretty sure, everything that comes from the coil is plugged in, and it seems like its all correct. I'm going to try to do what you said with the ignition switch. I do have a test light and a multimeter, i'll try testing the solenoid like you said. Here's a picture of the starter: [t]http://i.imgur.com/a1LZqz1.jpg[/t] That little black box on there is where we have the jumper wire connected. Here's the ignition coil: [t]http://i.imgur.com/Ly3PZu8.jpg[/t] You can kinda see it, but there are two of those green plugs, in the picture one is behind the coil. Luckily a new coil costs $35 shipped, and if I NEEDED one, a used but tested and known good ECU is $30 shipped.

It does look connected. It would be wise to test the other end of that green harness to see if it is getting voltage when cranking. If it is - then the coil is just dead.
Okay, i'll do that soon but if I remember correctly it has a few different slots that the other end plugs into on the green plug. Should I just poke my multimeter around with it to guesstimate which one is the correct slot, or should they all be putting out voltage? And where should I put my other multimeter lead, just to a grounding point right?

Just poke around, if you see voltage out of a few of them, you're probably in the clear to just replace the coil.
Okay! I'll update as soon as I can. I'm lucky, now that college has started, Advance, Autozone and Napa are conveniently not out of my way any more. Actually, the Autozone on the way I checked out is so brand new my cashier was their district manager as he trained the staff.

I cut my Dodge Dart's radiator support frame today to make way for intercooler piping... felt bad... but good... Today was.. fixing my roommate's ZX2, making a funny noise. It was a ripped PCV elbow. Replaced that and also did a transmission service, because the fluid was dark brown. That was fun.. had to drop part of the frame, poor design. Also dropped the coolant out of my PrizRolla and put new isht in. Ordered a filter/seal kit for my Rolla and my other roommate's Rolla, too. So that's gonna be next. All ready for winter!
Lol, he says he might keep it now. I charged $300, paint and materials for him was around $230. He has a guy willing to pay $2000 but he's like 'fuck! I kinda just wanna keep it now!' He's driving a 97 Z24 ATM, he loves him some Cavaliers.
Can I dump my car and its shitty paint off at your house with $500 on the dash? Seriously though that is a nice paint job
If I had a garage that I could shoot paint in all the time I'd be all about it. Drop it off, come get it a month later or so.. boom, done. Today I changed my trans fluid/filter in my car. Then I pulled a side skirt off and used a bunch of POR15 on the pinch weld and re-did the rear wheel well POR15 sealing, too. Hit the bottom bit of each of the doors, too, to hopefully prevent any rust coming up. Also did the leading edge of the hood, too. So all that's left to finish that up is to do the passenger side pinch weld.. but I was so filthy and tired I had to turn in. Oh! Also used some 'seat and carpet cleaner' on my seats, too. Spray on and scrub off, it was awesome... my seat aren't super dingy anymore! Good day. [editline]30th August 2014[/editline] Here's some pics of the stuffs. Sub box progress.. it's in, but it was super dark when we finished it up. Been busy trying to hook up this JDM af fuel pressure regulator. Higher-flow Walbro pump killed my stock fuel pressure regulator. Should be done soon

I'm now skeptical on using my fake fuel pressure regulator seeing as the diaphragm inside can fail and cause epic engine and life failure. Wonder what brand to buy
I'm now skeptical on using my fake fuel pressure regulator seeing as the diaphragm inside can fail and cause epic engine and life failure. Wonder what brand to buy
Sealer #2 should fix up that diaphragm - something safe for contact in fuel. But I wouldn't rust that $30 ebay regulator either. I was looking at it when trying to find something for a boost referenced regulator. You're probably not going to find a real one for less than $90 minimum. I bought a cheap wire welder the other day to play with. It's definitly not great, but putting shit together around the house is a lot simpler now. It already paid for itself, so who cares... I found if you use good wire in it, it works fine, but when I tried to use the .030 it came with - holy shit... I had no idea stuff could look that bad. It was like a bog monster or something. It's just a Chicago Electric 120v wire welder. You only get about a 3 minute duty allowance, but it's not awful for small junk. I already modified it. Before: After: I added at least 30 welding horsepower to it.
Photobucket is terrible, please use something else. Your pictures don't work btw
his pictures have been working since before you posted you goober.
His pictures are broke.
Not broken for me, but yes, photobucket is terrible
It was broken for a minute. I've been using photobucket since like... 2006? 3k pictures and only at 14% of my limit. What else is there that's any good at hosting?
