I crank that mothafucker EVERY TIME it plays on SiriusXM, and then I rewind it and play it again until the tuner memory pushes it out. That song and Busy Child by Crystal Method....
Nope, that won't work. It takes a momentary pulse to activate the defroster after start.
I'll look it up real quick for dat car
According to this schematic;
http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/tracker40/2010-12-13_011459_1.gif
Do this;
Thick purple wire @ the climate control unit. Meter it. 12v w/ defrost on i should be. Then cut it.
Get a relay. Wire it up like this;
85 - 12v constant
86- remote start status wire (ground while running, w/e you wanna call it)
87 - 12V
30- car side of cut wire
87a - climate control plug side of cut wire.
Then you'll be golden.
I had a quick peak under my dash (I didn't want to take the whole thing apart again) and saw a purple wire, though the gauge seemed way too small for something that was going to power the defroster.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/6ef3jUJ.jpg[/t]
Though it has to be it, all the diagrams that I've found say that's the one.
Meter it. If it goes to 12v when you turn on the Defroster that's the one.
Then when you cut it, the side that goes to 12v of the cut is the HVAC panel side.
You can also probably find it in one of the kick panels, since it has to run all the way back to the rear window.

Oh hey, i have the same keychain
[t]http://i.imgur.com/CeVk8FY.jpg[/t]
Ive had it for about 4 years, same with the titanium STi key head. It has really lasted good.
As far as what i did today;
I've had issues with the battery in my ATV. Keeps going flat because i dont ride it enough. So, i bought a battery tender.
The battery is located under the headlight cover and sucks getting to.
The battery tender I bought is a 2-piece style with switchable ends; one with eyelits, one with clamps.
I installed the eyelit end and ran it to the outside, so all i have to do is plug it in.
I also started tearing the rear drum apart. It seized enough so that it takes super low range and first gear just to get it moving.
Didnt finish today as it got too late.
Im at the part where i have to pull the inner drum off, but its seized pretty good. I have some ideas to handle that.
The Eclipse got more lovin today, in the form of an amp rack. Started work on a sub box for a friend, too. So that's exciting.. I'll hit up some pics tomorrow.
Reinstalled my battery and fixed the alternator position and the car runs great. Next plans are replacing the starter, followed by a big order for the doors, including the power window motors, power lock actuators, and maybe the power mirror motors/adjustment button.

All thanks to clutch2 we got the lights working! The board was bad though. Haha.
Today, a V12 flew in my shop.
We suspended 1200 lbs from a $40 harbor freight leveler and my hoist, and went to town. 8 hours.

We had to angle the hell out of it, and the leveler wasn't much help once it was airborn - oh well.

Nevermind the two hours i spent this morning putting the HackerCraft on casters... to move that behemoth. It took a lot of force to push it around even, and I am worn the hell out. Since the engine can't move, the boat had to move around it.

This next picture is about 4 hours in. Unlike a car, there's not much clearance here for what we needed to do. Basically the engine is 50% longer than the hatch opening, and the deck and insides of the hatch opening are varnished and finished, so it was kind of like playing operation.

About here, all the rags come into play and the "oh fuck oh fuck..." stuff starts happening so we were both yelling "STOP" at eachother. " don't fucking move it anymore" from either side of the engine bay.
After this point (6 hrs) the water pump, generator, and a bunch of tubing had to come off to clear the aft part of the hatch and move the front of the engine forward.
This was the home-free moment:

Here's a box that got built today. Some dude my friend with the Eclipse knows from work keeps getting boned going to a local car audio shop. His last box from there fell apart after a few weeks so they just threw some screws into it. Pretty weak. so we built this for his subs, it was his birthday recently and we're humanitarians I guess, lol. Shit, you got me watching youtube videos of engines for an hour...
Finally did some poking around the rocker assembly on the truck... I guess the lifter is not seized but just has air in it, it feels squishy instead of solid like the others. Any of you ka24e guys know how to bleed the air out of these things? Or do I just have to swap out the whole rocker?

fuck yeah, awesome!
I vacuumed my car out, tightened and adjusted my brake light switch, found the problem was that the bulbs were just dying, so replacing them fixed the issues. i tried to rotate my tires too, but my front driver's side wheel seems to be fused to the hub. lugnuts came right off, but even with penetrating oil, a rubber mallet and many kicks, it refused to budge, so I tightened up the lugs and said fuck it. I'll take it to Sam's and make the fucker that cross-threaded my last batch of lugstuds get this wheel off.
Can someone help me identify the cause of this noise? It makes this rattling in compression.

Headlights go up, headlights go down, up, down, up down.
Damn it, now I want an MR2 :(
Exactly, it's a v12 Rolls Royce Merlin engine. Makes close to 750hp stock I believe. Airplane motors in boats is nothing new. If you're taking a boat to the Concourse D' Elegance, you want it to be correct, and since my dad is one of the head judges of the show, he likes to make sure shit is exactly as it should be. All our customers are guaranteed at least a 90pt. boat at a boat show if they want it restored by us. And that's 90/100. Points are subtracted for various things we do to a boat to increase its lifespan though.
In 1947 when this boat was built, it had a Scrips engine in it. Lots of cubic inches, no horsepower. Since carburetors hadn't really been explored and were all pretty crappy at making power - for example, this Firepower 1950s Hemi sitting on the floor of the shop, only makes about 150 hp with a crappy Zenith carb, and shitty peripherals.

The thing sitting on top of it is my old valve cover.
SO, when people bought a boat, the quickest thing you could do to gain serious power, was buy a surplus aircraft, and rip the motor out of it. Mostly around the time, twin engine planes with similar motors, ran for $500 surplus. So for $500 you had your racing motor, and a backup - then you just bought a marine transmission and went. What we're doing here seems hardcore and radical but it's pretty normal for a classic boat. We want this 40ft boat to go at least 70mph. Seems slow to you guys but it's going to be like driving a cruise missile.

This is 100% true.
Going 70mph on water is like driving 120mph in a geo metro with only rear brakes.
But in a jetski with intelligent breaking you can stop on a dime (if you have to) or just do a 180 within 10ft!

Did I press the correct button Señor?
Managed to get the rear drum off the Kingquad. Actually broke the head off a hammer in the process.
Still dont quite understand why it was locked up. everything inside seems to function right.
Anyways, the brake material actually peeled of the shoes when the drum came off, so fresh shoes are on order.

I think if I was to get another project car, it's going to be a Stealth. Daytona's are pretty cheap around here. There's one that runs and drives and has the engine rebuilt for $1000. With turbo.
Well, sure, but this thing is almost $7900, so I'd have to sell my bike, and have my dad chip in a bit, and then there's the getting it working and road legal again, which'll cost me a couple grand more, probably, not to mention time.

So worth it though. Sacrifice it all for one awesome car. Right... Right?
Not worth it when it'd be my only car/vehicle (the Peugeot isn't mine)
Mostly finished up the top on the 'stang today all that's left is some piddly shit and a couple trim pieces but ran it through the carwash and the fucker didn't leak like a sieve or at all actually so winning
