Okay! Thanks for the info, i'll give it a shot and see what I can find out.
Of course, glad to help.
Now for stuff I did today, more like in less then 20 mins about an hour ago.
So I found this under my car at the front, had already rolled the car forward to begin work.

But not before spraying the driveway a bit

I dunno what happened to the exposure, but I had to pull her face off to get to the line.

About a month ago I put a trans cooler in after being hackey with the mounting and hoses and one of the short line I used sprung a leak. Sprayed fluid for about a 1/4 miles worth, maybe a mile I dunno, I was a at buddys house earlier. In any case it's fixed and I now need to get fluid.

Woke up at around 10am today, got a call from my mate if I wanted to help him out with riding his moped to his grandpa's barn/garage (about a 10 minute ride), after that we went cruising a bit, listening to good old fashioned CDs :v: We discussed a transmission swap (auto to auto) because his has been saying it's broken for a while now, until I suggested we check it with my bluetooth OBD2 reader (which he thought cost $770), it had a P0740 (Torque Converter Clutch Circuit malfunction), we cleared the code and it hasn't popped up yet, then we reset the service interval.
Also shot a can of paint with his hunting rifle. That was fun, even with the cops in town (it's illegal to drive with a rifle with the bolt in it, and with the weapon visible. The weapon also can't be within reach of the driver, or anyone in the vehicle. Shooting cans is also illegal)

What...
I got pulled over before with ~4 guns in the back seat of my audi with their clips in them but no ammo in said clips.
Granted I did roll down all my windows (5% tint) So he COULD see the guns..
(Pulled over for no front licence plate)
sweedie laws r weird.

I just make a point of whenever I get pulled over I hand my concealed carry permit with my license and reg.
then the cop usually says step out of the vehicle, he secures the weapons (which is legal to do), and after the stop I get them back, stick em on the rack and go on my way.
I keep clips loaded in my hunting rifle at all times, just in case.

I have them both in a removable flipout part of my wallet so I can hand them both over easily if I get pulled over.

Is that an SKS :^)
Also, whats the general feeling towards those coolant flush chemicals? Gonna follow this http://www.mikefordmustang.com/writeups/coolant_flush/flush-coolant-on-mustang.php this weekend and was wondering whether or not I should use that chem stuff inbetween or just use water. I have no idea when the coolant was last changed on this thing.

What kind of shape if your coolant in? Sludge in the overflow and stuff or is it clean?
If it's clean just unhook the hoses, blast water through with a garden hose (block, heater core, and radiator) and let all that fall out and refill.
If it's filthy some chemicals to help loosen it all up + hose flush it always solid.

This is all I can see in the res, I don't know what color it started out as. Supposed to be green but can't tell if it's really old green and nasty or someone put in that all makes models crap. Would have to drain to see if there's any sludge

It's also pretty low and when its cold like 30-40 the low coolant light comes on :\
New plugs wires cap and rotor on the hardbody yesterday, it had some crazy weird plugs like I've never seen in it. Bosch Platinums I think.

Wouldn't start back up after I finished all that, apparently the distributor is off by 180° inside? The cap only fits on one way, so I had to flip all the wires for it to work. Weird. Just another thing that was done not entirely wrong but not right, which seems to be a recurring theme on this thing...
Today I remounted the back bumper because it was on the wrong set of holes and there was a gigantic gap:

A couple of broken bolts, a considerable amount of PB blaster and some wrenching later it looks normal again:

Trying to figure that out, but it looks like it has Tula stamps on it, so no later than 1956.

Yeah, those are Bosch Platinum 4s. Even when I sold auto parts, I never suggested people buy those. I could almost see a bonus in the 2-prong plugs, but not in 4 prongs.

How do you know if they are magazines or clips?
I can call them holders for all you care and would not know if you were correct of not.

Clips are strips of metal that are used to load ammunition into magazines, which are spring loaded boxes that feed ammunition into the chamber of the gun.
Clips are strips of metal that are used to load ammunition into magazines
or in the case of the m1 garand, the clip goes into the action of the weapon like a magazine. or a stripper clip used to load the internal magazine of a weapon, like a stripper on a sks or mosin.

Oh yea def time to get it out. The good news is it just looks deteriorated, not sludgy, so you shouldn't have to worry about deposits.

Alright, I'll just flush it with water a until it runs clear and then drop in some distilled water a couple times to get most of the tap water out and finish it off with the coolant n such.
Coolant is 50% water anyways, so don't worry about the distilled.
Truly if you want a long term solution use either premixed or mix it yourself and use distilled water.
IMO Use premixed and do a flush every other year or so.
Their are some parts of the world were tap water has hard minerals and it can eventually corrode the block, and this is why VW's are anal about G12 coolant.
My car is leaking coolant from between the head and block. No chocolate milkshake so far but I know that day will come, I just hope not now because NO MONEY
There's literally no reason not to buy 50/50 premix.

I have some pretty hard rural water, also I thought you were gonna stop posting wtf
New water pump came today.

Shiny!
Only thing I'm worried about is getting the rubber gasket aligned right, there's a lot of holes for it to go around and it has to be fitted vertically, don't have any gasket sealant to hold it in place either.

The guy doing the guide figured up how much straight water was still in the system because he only drained from the rad so he put in concentrate that gave him the desired percentage
I use concentrated because there's no way to drain the engine block, so after a flush it's still full of water and using a 50/50 at this point would mean it's diluted to fuck.
I just look up the coolant capacity in the Haynes manual and put half of that amount in the system, top up the rest with water, boom. Perfect 50/50 mix.

System capacity is 14.1 qt so measure what comes out after being full of water and add the appropriate amt of coolant
