The center console looks completely the same though, except from the wood grain.
I realized from the pics both are 95s, the CL I'm getting stuff from is a 97. I updated my post to reflect this. Long day, I'm slow.
That's cuz the CL and the Accord are the same car. Same idea as the Chevy Corvette and Cadillac XLR, etc.
Just got done reading a few things on cb7tuner and drive-accord saying that in order to get everything to work proper, I'll need to modify some stuff minorly. Like the A/C system under the dash, some wireing and the resistor on the blower motor for the digital controls. My A/C has been shot since I got the car, so I don't care if it works or not. Only reason I see to get it fixed is to keep the windows from fogging when it rains. The parts are basically mine, in exchange for some minor work. Frankenstein ahoy.
I got my $10 10 pack of led panels: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/251413238191 I had just a regular little LED bulb in my dome light before. I slapped in the LED panel and holy shit, I could actually see the inside of my car at night! I replaced the bulb in my trunk as well, which was also an improvement, though I'll probably solder the panel directly to the wiring for that one, since the wires stick out a bit from the top of the trunk and I don't want them to catch on anything.
Your truck looks really clean, except the box rust but even then its nice
Thanks! I have a set of paint to match factory flares (ones on an RT or SXT) that I'm getting ready to put on it to cover the rust on the bed. Believe it or not this truck has 271,000 miles on it. 2nd engine; 3rd clutch, 2nd rear end, all new suspension; new alternator, (Now) new fuel pump. I just keep fixing her when she breaks. Also part of the reason it looks so clean is about 5 years ago I painted the entire truck(pre-rustybed) because I totaled it then fixed it. Put in an LED replacement and I can actually see things in there in the dark, now!

I have a volvo which drives now again... woohoo
By far one of the worst cars i've ever driven. Would you agree?
Oh, I haven't driven it. It's sitting in a tow truck driver friends compound. Poor mechanic work has left this odd little car practically ownerless, due to shitty timing belt replacement and over confidence with a lack of research on the DIYer's part. So the tow guy is gonna sell it to someone who needs it. For being a POS, it's not hard to work on and has plenty of room to work. However, the engine has a garbage design and the valve covers design screams "leaks will happen, and theres nothing you can do to stop it".
Nice to see another member that fixes their vehicle after hell freezes over.
Is it not common to see around here? I don't know what I'd do if I had to pay someone to fix it every time something went wrong with my truck *Could just be the fact that I drive a dodge that makes me suspect to fixing it all the time :P
i think he means that you didn't just get rid of it.
Holy Hay-suse, GM really likes to reuse their shit. Speaking of big auto reusing parts on other vehicles, Ive found that the 2.2CL from Acura has for the most part, a large majority of things that fit my Accord. Rims Dash Center console Seats (front for sure, I've now got leathers and a power seat for me :v:) Most of the suspension I'm considering swapping my dash AND center console, unless I cant make it look good, then just the center console. My 95 Accord Dash (roughly): [thumb]http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj7/Js2d355jf69lsd/Auto/Dash.jpg[/thumb] 97 Acura CL: [thumb]http://photos3.automanager.com/016656/dd0ffaa3dc49b54c8c8ac78c99368085/b47dbed0cf_640.jpg[/thumb] And it seems someone has already done a swap. Center console is the only real difference.
What about door panels? People swap Integra dashes into Civic EG's but it turns into a total hack job that's only good in photos. Does the CL use the same doors as your Accord? The CL is pretty much an upscale Accord Coupe though. Being an H/F(or J) platform car they could be a hell of a little sleeper. I'd be more interested in the luxury seats, stiffer swaybars and bigger brakes that bolt on. They're only roughly 50lbs heavier than the F series US Accord of the same year.
Finally replaced my cars wiper motor  Can't start the car because I ran the battery down testing them :suicide:
Removed the Sable's heater core yesterday but ran out of daylight to put the new one in. It was clogged/corroded all to shit, it's a wonder I even got a little bit of heat. Putting everything back together today, hopefully it still works since I saw the dash sparking when we pulled it (completely fucking forgot to pull the battery before we started) I'm also never doing another heater core for as long as I live I swear on it.

It seems the cl and tl are basically the 2 door model Vs. the 4 door model. If I got the dash I'd have to figure something out about the wood grain trim on the dash, and If the cl DOES come in 4 door and I find one, i'll have to seprate the upper half of the door panel from the lower and use my Accord upper with the CL lower. Unless I find a TL instead, then I'll just yank the panels that match (or close enough) and fit them. Also, I have some pics incoming from a friend who took them from an engine swap we completed today. Dying engine out of his 92 manual truck, normal 4.3 V6 upgraded to a 93 4.3 Vortec out of a smashed in the forward passenger corner automatic truck of nearly the same type, donor was a chyanne. Only issues we had really were the pilot bearing being the wrong one, being the one that was somehow smashed in and ground down to fit. And to eliminate any future issues, I bought a rear main seal cuz I'm awesome. Also bought the pilot bearing. We found out it was the bearing when the trans wouldn't mount flush, so we anchored it to the engine to lift it out as we didn't have a transmission jack or a way to lift the truck. New bearing and BAM. Perfect fit. Slapped that fucker back together, got the necessary shit to start it and away she went smooth as butter and loud like nascar. Finnished putting it all back together about an hour and a half ago, would have finished yesterday if not for the bad/wrong pilot.
The CL is only a coupe, pretty sure the C is for coupe lol. The TL is a Vigor, it has little to none in common with the Accord and shares far more with the RL(Legend). The CL was an Accord chassis based US market only car. You'd be better off just trying to swap the lower middle console, gauge cluster or other parts like that. If you had a coupe you might have a chance of the door panels fitting but I highly doubt it. I personally like the Accord dash more anyways, the black steering wheel in a tan interior car bugs me too.

Besides, in order to get all that digital A/C control stuff to work right I'd have to do a bunch of rewireing and shit. That's too much down time for my car in, as of last night, 50* weather.
Pfff it was 25f last night here. :(
It was 55 F here last night :(
Pfff it was 25f last night here. :(
its 25f here right now... fuk jerzy
its 25f here right now... fuk jerzy
Its also 25f here in west Philadelphia, and I got back here after breaking my ass after falling off of my bike while doing 25 MPH down market street and hitting ice after a fuckhead in a Grand Caravan cut me off
It's as of this post 51, later tonight it's expected to hit 35. :suicide: My poor heater can't handle this shit...
It warmed up! It's 38f
I'm not sure if I really worked on it, but while driving my Camaro in the sub freezing temperatures my thermometer went from maximum infinity degrees to possibly functioning (temperatures didn't seem consistent or correct, but the whole car runs a bit funky in the cold so I'm not sure yet). Also, now when I start the car the thermometer returns to infinite degrees while its cranking, but once it starts up it goes back to possibly functioning. Unfortunately the speedo also seems to hate the cold; for quite a while after startup the speedo will make a grinding whining sound while I accelerate or maintain speeds, slowly going away the more the engine warms up. I suspect its the belt that powers the speedometer, but I have no real idea.
It's been in the 20-30s f the last couple days and the Mustang coolant temp reported from my obd scanner never gets over 150f at highway speeds. Once I get into stop and go city driving it maybe gets close to 160. Takes forever to get it to warm up and blow hot.
Pfff it was 25f last night here. :(
It was 17f here the previous night, tonight it just got down to 32f so today I won't have a icicle of a car to warm up in the morning.. I have no idea what possesses people to willingly park their vehicles outside all year round when they have a garage but instead have decided to fill it with shit they will never use. Who actually enjoys letting the car warm up for 15-20 mins just to get the windows deiced and safe and paying for that waste of gas.. I can only laugh at all the people who believe they need 4 wheel drives just to live here when we usually get maybe a dusting to 1" of snow short of the 30-40 year "snow storm" of 8-9". I'd really love to put my studded tires on my other set of wheels to have some snow fun but it's not even worth the money since it's highly unlikely we'll even see a dusting this year. Changed the subie air filter [thumb]http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u423/Lawblind/BE8D934E-DC58-4618-B218-1B61C5577195_zpspiyyb5ep.jpg[/thumb] Yeeeeeeeeaaah she aint so clean. Was a total arse because the cold air is pretty much jammed against the charge tube for some reason. Noticable difference putting around, havent driven enough to really get a good feel yet
[thumb]http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u423/Lawblind/BE8D934E-DC58-4618-B218-1B61C5577195_zpspiyyb5ep.jpg[/thumb] Well, I saw this dirty air filter and decided enough was enough! Today after I bench-pressed 6,000 pounds worth of forged aircraft steel, I decided to rip the engine and drivetrain out of the Subaru and put it in my neglected Dart. I started by removing the hood with my bare hands (I unbolted NOTHING) and then removed every single engine mount bolt with my teeth. I then yanked all 4 wheels off the car so I could deadlift the rest of the car onto a hoist where I suspended it and let all the internal components I need fall out onto the floor. Then I hurled the entire body of the WRX into a trash can and proceeded to go to work. More updates later.
Wow. That is some good progress.
Oh god it hurts to laugh any more
