Coming from the guy who has been through like 3 transmissions in the past year. I know the cooler is setrab but the relocator looks like it is a hong kong special.
more like one and then a rebuild, sometimes shit happen when you are pushing a bit over twice the stock hp it was rated for. And siminov, go away please instead of trahs talking nonsense you have no idea about. I haven,t seen you doing a full swap or putting your tiny ass turbo on a lathe to accomodate a larger garrett wheel. Go back to GD and keep the DIY as it should: DIY

Also it's a Mitsubishi TD04 15G, NOT a Garrett T3. /done Anyways to keep on topic, I ordered an oem oil cooler.
GUIZE GUIZE we're all bros here, chill your bro-tits
Changed my spark plugs, new NGK's wooo
There is a B16B, but it's like a late 90's Civic SI motor. Probably not in a teggy though. :v: What year was it?
I'm not sure what YEAR the car is, but its certainly a swap. A toggle switch engages the starter. :v: EDITED, dont know how i borked that...
I don't really see the problem with some China parts, especially with something as simple as that. We're not all high rollers.
I don't really see the problem with some China parts, especially with something as simple as that. We're not all high rollers.
I was considering maybe getting a cheap eBay short intake and k&n filter for my friend's 02 Accord since it seems to be pretty restrictive; I don't see the point in spending hundreds of dollars for a brand-name air pipe, if they're all made of the same shit.
Fuck yeaa! Yesterday when I picked up my roof rack I also picked up a steering absorber and new shifting bushings. Pulled off the absorber: [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1031910/VW%20Beetle/2013-04-25%2015.06.50.jpg[/t] I wonder why it felt like I was driving all over the place... Pulled these out of their natural habitat. [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1031910/VW%20Beetle/2013-04-25%2015.07.45.jpg[/t] OOOO OEM bushings! Replaced with some Red ones because colored shit is cooler. [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1031910/VW%20Beetle/2013-04-25%2015.09.24.jpg[/t] In the end, I can now shift without grinding gears and roll down the road in a straight line when I hit a bump.
I'm not sure what car the car is, but its certainly a swap. A toggle switch engages the starter. :v:
Possible that it was a manual swap and someone was lazy about the neutral/clutch safety switch or their neutral/clutch safety switch went out. Snap a picture of it, I'll tell you if what's in there belongs there or not. [editline]25th April 2013[/editline] Not really work that I did but I had my shit ass inserts swapped out for stock replacement mounts. Apparently the shop which I decided to give a chance over tightened everything that was touched and had the rear mount off by like an 1/8" or something. Took the shop I normally go to 3 hours to get them in where as it took less than 2 hours to do a clutch and swap the gsr trans on. Feels like a whole new fucking car, everything is butter smooth, clutch chatter has been been pretty much removed and all of the crickets in my dash as well as the open header grade noise is gone. Front end panels no longer vibrate and the hood is no longer rubbing the paint off the bumper/fenders.
Checked oil, its on full. Checked tires, only my front right has a slow (1psi per day) leak. When i get a chance, im gonna stop by the shop, unbolt it, see if i find anything. If not, ill just put a little slime in it

I mean, i wouldn't put cheap ebay stuff on an expensive car, but i think it's passable on a cheap car, such as an older civic or accord.

If it is in fact 1.6L then it's a swap.
I molested my wheel arches with a hammer and angle grinder :downs:
I cut my hands and knuckles up and wasted so much time trying to install a stupid seat bracket unto GF's S13. Stupid fitment, I hate it when this crap happens. Terrible flange welding, mounting points barely lined up. Terrible. Is it really that hard to install a Sparco seat.
Replaced the WHOLE GOD DAMN AXLE on a buds GMC Jimmy today. It took all day because he got the damn thing from a guy who come from New York. Every bolt that held on the leaf springs was stuck, so were the bolts for the shocks. SO we cut them all out violently as it was hot and I added even more cuts to my arsenal of ouch. After we finally finished around 9:20 or so, we found out the shifter cables casing was rusted out. Fuck you autozone, didnt want to stay open long enough to let us get the part and we're right around the corner. An old push rod and some small-ish hose clamps fixed it for now.
Finished painting my valve cover. Now I'm going to make the air cleaner match.
Finished painting my valve cover. Now I'm going to make the air cleaner match.
Sir, that is beautiful. Kudos
Originally when I did my exhaust I tried to save some money and time by taking my resonator out and removing all of its guts and then welding it back together. I did that partly because I didn't have the resources to make a y-pipe or the time to wait for one to ship. Recently one of my welds on the heat shield of the resonator broke and was making this awful vibrating sound, so today I finally pulled the resonator out of my T-Bird and put a Y-Pipe in it's place. The tone changed so much it's unbelievable. Really happy with how that came out. Now it's just two magnaflow cats and two magnaflow mufflers as it should be. Helped my friend install a trickflow stage 1 cam into his foxbody today. We put the distributor back on and we found tdc on the exhaust stroke by accident, so I'm assuming the timing was advanced 180 degrees. It backfired out of the intake when trying to crank, we realized timing was way advanced and figured that we found wrong tdc, found it on compression stroke and it started up fine. Other than that the whole install went fine.
That's really, really cool. You should sell those.
Thanks guys. I've been thinking about doing some and selling them. The problem would be finding a market for it of interested people. That and I'd have to source some random valve covers.
Thanks guys. I've been thinking about doing some and selling them. The problem would be finding a market for it of interested people. That and I'd have to source some random valve covers.
Do theirs. Offer your services on a 'send it in and I'll paint it' basis.
I thought about having people ship them to me, but what would a reasonable price be on a valve cover? I mean, I don't want to charge any differently between covers, and the shape of the cover itself would dictate what I can draw on it. The only thing I'd charge more for would be like a V8/v6 etc because there are two covers. The paint I use is heat resistant, and can survive in direct sunlight for 6 years. So under a hood, it should last a while. It's about $50/qt. But I only used about 4 baby food jars worth of paint on this one.
Today I tried to bake a cake. Got out my cake mold. Decided that would not be a good idea. Cake would taste like fuel, tin, and justice. So instead I got out a grinder. Hello Mr. grinder, have you met mr. air cleaner lid ? They kissed. That's lies and brainwash. Licked really hard till all the paint came off. I forgot the air cleaner element was smaller than the lip of the lid...shit. Do I make the lid and pie tin smaller or do I find a bigger air cleaner element? Before someone asks why I didn't just buy a aftermarket air cleaner - there aren't any for this carb that fit without raising it, which does not clear the hood, and does not mount to the stock clamp. It looks interesting to say the least, and makes the car sound like it has an engine up front (its much louder). I doubt it does anything HP-wise - I just wanted that open air element loudness. And if you know the look I'm trying to achieve then know i think it will look neat-o

I know the easiest thing for me to do would be remove the windshield, pull the dash, and then do all the dash work... but... no time.
