I just bought one of those from harbor freight. Also Got all the parts to install my transmission and oil cooler. Hopefully will do that this weekend.
I fixed my Saturn's rear power window with a 4 cent washer. There is a track at the bottom of the window, and the regulator arm has a ball on the end that fits into a plastic piece that slides in the track. The plastic piece completely exploded and I couldn't find a new one without buying a brand new regulator, so I just tacked a washer onto the ball on the regulator arm and fit it into the track. Works perfectly. Fucking welders are the greatest thing ever.
Holy fuck. Changed the oil in my beetle and gezus christ the sludge, and metallic flakes. I guess I will only run this oil for around 800miles and change it AGAIN and install a paper filtering system just to be safe.

My tire doesnt seem to be leaking anymore, but that bulge is really bugging me. It isnt growing, in fact i think it went down since i found it. What do? I cant find another tire anywhere, this tire is out of production (it was only produced a short time. Right after they started, they redesigned it) Since im AWD, i need 4 identicle tires. I tried dealing with two separate pairs before, it didnt work at all and handled like crap. It was hell on my center differential too. It sucks thinking that these tires are nearly new and ive gotta replace them already and lose a bunch of money

To start, get a manifold made and figure out how to run oil feed and return lines, there are some good shops on feebay that can supply you with all 3. After that you need the intercooler and piping and whatever else.
He's not going to be able to run more than a couple psi of boost on the stock ecu/fuel system, however. As for the manifold, I'd buy one on fleebay, manifolds are cheap and work well.
Piggyback on stock fuel system should be fine to 7-8PSI, upgraded pump and injectors with a wideband on the piggyback would allow twice that. A couple of PSI of boost? May as well just get some kickass lift cam (or cams if you go DE) and run N/A.

This is from a newer-gen Subaru STI so we're gonna have to hack up an existing flange or custom weld some log-type manifold. Then plan on doing small boost with 255lph fuel pump and stock internals. Later on if I plan to really push it, maybe do a standalone ECU, RX7 injectors, forged rods and nicer pistons. All in due time. Right now, my friend has a top-intercooler from a Subaru we're going to half-ass into the S13 nose sooner or later haha.
I need to get my AC changed over from an empty r12 to r134. It is going to cost me 200 bucks and then if there are any leaks, more after that. Is 200 a good price for the conversion at a shop?
why did you get an ihi turbo i hate those things 18g 4 lyfe [editline]3rd May 2013[/editline] wait you're fitting an sti topmount to an s13 my head is full of fuck, godspeed shiban

Also that is why you didn't want to buy my mini turbo :( You got another I guess I have no other choice :suicide: But seriously good luck on your journey, boosted cars are best cars. That's probably why my bike was being so fuckey.
Well, as usual. Get parts from the 740 and they dont fit AT ALL, even though its the same fucking engine, trans, and radiator, somehow my transmission cooler lines are too long. But what I did do is fix my radiator brackets so that my rad and intercooler aren't about to fall out anymore and I adjusted the wastegate because I was loosing boost pressure at higher rpm's. And for my engine sounding like an obnoxious piston slapping tractor, I found no oil at all in my intake piping and a minuscule amount in my intercooler. I am happy that I am not really leaking any out from my seals or piston rings.
Fixed up my train horn wiring, waited too long to do it.

I might still buy yours if my GF decides to turbo hers later as well. We'll see this half-ass turbo job; it might work
I found someone who is shipping me the VC's off his 340. One side will have a B240 (I think its called) machine gun facing the grill, and the other will have a ICB emblem. Will be a cool painting project.
Finally got some pics of that new panel which I put on a month ago, its a different shade but ill take anything these cars are way uncommon. It was also cheap $88 I've heard talk of much more common R30 (next generation) panels selling for $200 +. Enough of how much of a bargin hunter I am. Now we can get to the motor and clean it up and also we can clean up the engine bay.
I wish everyone lived closer so we could get a shop and ruin peoples cars together.
Fixed up my train horn wiring, waited too long to do it.
You honked it off yesterday on the talbot street, didn't you?
Went to a mom'n'pop type automotive store in town and explained to the guy what I was trying to do. He popped open a few that might fit and eventually an obsolete one off an older chrysler (not sure what) fit pretty damn near perfect. It was $7.99 and definitly looks the part. Much better than the tiny one under a high-hat. I finally got my transmission cooler installed, after I had to buy the lines and atf, hack up the existing transmission cooler lines, install those new rubber hoses in between the areas I cut, test if everything fit, made sure it didn't leak at all and then put my car back together. Still not to happy with the way I mounted the trans cooler, its cocked at an angle and one end of its mount touches my AC condenser, but the whole unit isnt going anywhere soon. Also think I hooked it up backwards so it comes from the trans, goes to the external cooler, then to the radiator cooler, then back again instead of the opposite.
Painted my rusty rear drums, and the lug nuts(for what it's worth).
Painted my rusty rear drums, and the lug nuts(for what it's worth).
The drums will likely stay painted, the lug nuts will probably not. Have you thought about switching to discs in the back?
ha, yeah. It's not a cheap swap though. It'd be done using the brakes/hubs/everything from and rsx base model, and would double as a 5 lug conversion. If i ever come across the parts, and have the money for it, i'll jump on it. But this is just a cheap civic, i'm only trying to have fun with it.
I put new speakers in my truck to day. so now they work again. and sound pretty good considering they cost me nothing. That, and its alot better than what was in there... So I bought this Nifty tool. Any ideas what I should do with it besides the obvious?
