I got fed up with how awful the gold-on-chrome Chevy bowtie logo looked on an all grey/black/chrome car (more-so on the back where the color of the taillights pops), so I got some spare squares of vinyl and went to work laying it into the logo. Pretty easy, just gotta clean the rest of my car so I don't have a weird dust-free circle around my emblems [t]http://i.imgur.com/ymBa1Fj.jpg[/t] [sub][sub]erbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbr[/sub][/sub] it's not a big fancy DIY but I think it came out pretty sharp
Did you use the 20% off coupon from harbor freight?
Nah i got it from some local shop here It was €250 all together so not bad either way
Installed my Depo corner lights. Fit pretty good, but the rubber had to be trimmed around them and my fender was dented a bit. After fixing that, they fit pretty great and I think they look great. Check the Photos Of Your Car thread for pics. Also, noticed that on the left side, one of the wires has rubbed threw. Right at the plug. So I'll be hunting for a new plug and wire for that

^sway bars are probably the easiest. Just get new bushings
Was going to paint them a nice yellow before I put them on, along with the new blue poly bushings im gonna get. Blue/Yellow = Swedish Flag Also thinking of painting my calipers yellow like this: Y/N
Holy boiling hell its hot out today. Just got back from the junkyard, got the wiring/plug for my corner light. No Imprezas there, but luckily, some part in a Forester's engine bay had the right plug. Havent fixed it yet. After i do, i plan on finding some white bulbs. Anyone know of some good 194/168 white (non-LED) bulbs? Dont need to be too bright, just white and able to last a bit

I'd just get some LED bulbs, they last longer and are brighter for the price

Ive heard PIAA is good, but they appear to be $5 per bulb. Not too bad if theyre good, but these are tiny bulbs. Ill check into Sylvania. Thanks for the help. Ill check Advanced Auto, see if they happen to carry any of them at a good price. Update; fixed my wiring. Found out the plug is from the A/C system.
Searching for ways to lower my cars ass a bit more since the springs that came with the coilover kit didn't really lower it much compared to my M3 springs even without the spring perches, discovered that some guys have been using opel/vauxhall/whatever corsa springs to lower their E30's. picked some up and installed them, couldn't be happier. Sanded down most of the rear sway bar and got part way through the front one.
If you're buying LED bulbs check out www.superbrightleds.com, I've converted my whole car to LED using their stuff almost 4 years ago and they're all still working 100%. No hotspots on the tails/signals like you get with the cheapo ones from a parts store, and way brighter than stock. They're still pretty expensive as far as lightbulbs go though... which I guess would be the only reason not to get them lol

My gauge cluster currently is full of LED's, theyre good but ended up messing up part of the cluster. Ill keep them in mind, but for now, ill look into a standard white bulb. Hopefully i can get one similar in color to my headlights Looking around, apparently Autozone and Advanced sell a Silverstar 194 but its only 3200k (vs stock 2800k) and they also sell a 6000k Sylvania LED. They also sell a Silverstar 168, which would fit and be brighter, but apparently 3200k is still pretty yellow

I think like 6 months tops... I dunno if they throw off more heat or what but I got tired of spending 40-50 bucks a pair and then changing them out so often so I just get the regular long life sylvania ones now
Valvoline 10W-40 passes the ILSAC-GF5 unlike most other brands which is always cool. Some only pass it with their synthetic versions, even at that, usually only their 5W-30.
Getting some nice yellow Bilsteins and a yellow pinstripe would be another awesome detail
Yeah, Just got front bilsteins and they look really nice. Downside is I got red Koni's for the rear, Upside is that they are FUCKING ADJUSTIBLE bitchesbtrippin

I think ive had them 6 months now? Theyre incredibly bright and white compared to my OEM ones. The bulbs im looking into now are for my corner lights beside my headlights. I just switched to clear corners, the yellow light is really noticeable now
I put Silverstar Ultra's in my truck. Natural stock headlight look but brighter than any of my friends HIDs, and they reach further.

I have clear corners on mine and that bugged me too, the LEDs are white but emit yellow light so that sorta solved that. Are they turn signals? I wonder if there are any legal issues swapping out amber signals for white ones...
I'm on a mission to convert all my cars lights to LED also. It may not be much, but when I install my audio system (2 Pioneer 1000W subs, 800 watt amp and a 5 Farad cap) It should help reduce some voltage and wattage pull on the electrical system. At least a small drop in strain for the poor 90 amp alternator. [editline]16th May 2013[/editline]
You mean the fact that you can see the yellow bulb in the clear housing? It really depends on where you live but for the most part amber has to be amber or else.
Heh, I wasn't really worried about reducing electrical draw when I converted mine, I just really like how they look with the instant on/off. Only word I can think of to describe it is "crisp" lol

The issue i have now is my bulb itself is clear, but it puts out yellow light. As far as i know, the lights come on with my headlights. So ive got yellow parking lighs next to bright white headlights
Finally got BANNED USERS's MR2 running again. Turns out Toyota can't get their shit straight with the different versions of the MR2. The first bolt we got was for a 93 turbo brake system. Took 2 weeks to get the wrong bolt. Turns out their parts catalog shows 93+ turbo brakes no matter what year/version MR2 you put in. The real 90-91 brake system is listed under 84-89 MK1 MR2's. Who knows where the actual MK1 MR2 brakes are located... Guy at the parts counter when I tell him that's not a brake diagram for a 91: "Well I don't think Toyota would goof that up. Someone must have done something weird with your brakes" Suuuuure they did.
