Tightened my AC belt a bit. It stretched a bit as it broke in. Also sprayed the clutch with liquid wrench to help it engage a bit. Worked on sorting out the plastic rattling on my hatch. Just put some electrical tape in areas the plastic hit the hatch
subarus=rattle traps How cold is your air? Mine is pathetic, can't even keep me cool on a 80+ day.
subarus=rattle traps How cold is your air? Mine is pathetic, can't even keep me cool on a 80+ day.
Mine only rattles from being hit so hard in the back. The hatch was bent and the plastic doesnt fit right My air is pretty cold. My condenser in front(believe thats the name) has a lot of bent fins, but no leaks. But since i opened up my front end, it helps a lot
Sold the VF39 turbine to a Subaru guy. I like how you can have some common camaraderie with other auto enthusiasts and their respective community. Subaru guy respects Nissan and I his car preference. Never had I a nice chat and handshake with Honda kids except a select few though. Why can't it always be this way. Got a couple of bills towards the repair of the 240. Either get a Garrett turbine or put it on general fixes.
Spent the entire day working on my dads car, he helped a lot too :v: 1. Changed the Fuel filter, I doubt it was ever changed since it was bought in 2005, the guy we got it from didn't care about the car. 2. Fixed the Steering wheel airbag by removing the entire thing, cleaning the clock spring a bit with contact spray and WD40. 3. Replaced the IMT O-Rings (they were a bitch.) Next weekend probably change the oil & oil filter. Probably the transmission oil but I have to get my hands on some more equipment for that first. Looking into buying a notch back fox and a T tops 5.0 5 speed GT and swapping the drivetrain from the GT into the notch. Havent been up to much else, scrapping parts car dart and shitty chev out back.

Welding was a bitch, the metal melted very easily.
Installed my nates 4x4 bumper, and then parked my jeep because cooling system. Goodbye rusty pos! Did an oil pan gasket on an Odyssey today. Wasn't too bad. For a 13-year-old van with 220,000 miles everything came apart pretty easily and there was very little rust. Of course Honda makes you lay down a bead of RTV instead of just using a gasket. I may be pulling the intake off to clean out the EGR ports soon, the valve has been replaced multiple times and it still resets the EGR flow codes. Something tells me some lazy techs have been replacing the valve and leaving the ports clogged up.
I worked on wearing out my tires at autocross this weekend, does that count? lol

I'm getting really tired of this S13's power steering line. The made in Mexico BS is getting to me. I think I'm just going to be making my own high-pressure line out of AN fittings like Russell/Aeroquip. At least this way, the welds on the banjo won't break and it will last for years. It can also withstand 1000psi if you use the right braided line. You can also create sections of hose and hook it up to oil coolers so my steering will be fucking amazing
Cleaned up EVERYTHING around our garage. I found a 1971 Challenger headlight bezel in the bush, why its there I have no idea, never had a challenger near this place, score anyways.
Last week I got my front Y pipe changed out and new mufflers put on. Gave one of the old ones to Llama because they droned like hell on my V8 but apparently sound nice on his RX
Fiddling with a cheap car stereo, by shoehorning a Bluetooth stereo audio receiver module into it. and piggybacking it onto traces on the radio's PCB. If I didn't slightly bodge up the mounting of the switch to change between AUX in and the Bluetooth module I could probably sell it 3 time it's actual value :v:
Since my cassette deck doesn't work, and I'm not going to buy a new radio head unit with aux/sd/usb anytime soon, this will have to do. Headphone cables routed down the car phone jack Out from the rear ashtray/power connection, with speakers spliced where the headphones would go. Kind of annoying when I have more than one friend with me, but oh well
Lol, you certainly are creative. Around the local flea markets here, headunits cost about $20; and that's with the harness cut out for you too

If so you can tap into that with a AUX - In.
Changed my drive belt and my oil today. I know it's small, but I feel accomplished cause it's my first time under the hood.

There is normally three wires that go to the heads Black or bare which is ground, a red and a white. Red is right while white is Left, thought I'd need to see inside of your radio to make a better guesstimate. You'd also need a switch to trip the radio into tape mode, a simple toggle would do. You'd also need to cut any wires to auto-load motors if the radio has support for that. If it's old-school it'll be easy as picking a really good friends nose, notthat you'd do that or anything.

It's too late to be hauling Amerifat motors into my friend's garage. I'm tired now
Gotta love them 150bhp 150 litre V20 engines that guzzles fuel like snooki guzzles cum.
I'm changing upper and lower ball joint on our school L200, I've fighted with it for 2 days and so far I've managed to get the old ones out. Would be easier if everything wasn't stuck. So far a chisel and a hammer has been most used tools along with impact wrench [editline]22nd May 2013[/editline] First I had to only change the lower one but you can't get it out without taking the upper out Driveshaft also needs to be removed

I currently use one with a old aftermarket Blaupunkt tape deck from the early 90's while I shoehorn in some gizmo's into my current radio.
I believe he mentioned that the tape part doesn't work right, otherwise the adapter would've been my first suggestion.
often it's the motor (or the rubber band connecting the motor for) driving the tape media around that craps out first. Although that would require disassembly of the headunit.
Not necessarily today, but over the course of the last ~35-40k miles I've done a massive bevy of replacements. Just about everything under the hood in my vehicle has been swapped with new hardware. Most recently I switched out the EGR assembly and the alternator. That was last weekend. I don't have crystal memory but I do believe everything except the engine has been replaced at this point. I kind of want to clean up and polish under the hood, actually. I won't, b/c it's a waste of time to me. I do appreciate seeing clean engine compartments, though.
Bought a rare compass pack and cleaned it up; [thumb]http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff136/fcfordlord/C360_2013-05-22-14-57-17-176_zps0fce8a9c.jpg[/thumb] I decided i didnt want to mess with wiring, so i went and bought a DIN pocket and installed it with that in it; [thumb]http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff136/fcfordlord/C360_2013-05-22-19-29-24-093_zps70b0b00c.jpg[/thumb] Look in the pics of your cars thread for more
