Almost there... Yesterday Today There were a couple delays, but today it gets finished. I hope it runs good, I have as many things crossed as I can without needing to break something or get surgery to cross it. The only issue I've has is the last owner decided that the ATF cap/bolt was not meant to be opened by mortal hands and thus over tightened it and stripped it.
i put a 6spd in the wagon yay sti rwd bias
Is that a... Honda V6? Mounted the "wrong" way?
Is that a... Honda V6? Mounted the "wrong" way?
It's a Honda Accord V6 bro. They're transverse mounted since it's front wheel drive.
Is that a... Honda V6? Mounted the "wrong" way?
I'm pretty sure that every Honda car made within the last thirty years has had transverse engines, with the exception of the S2000.

Anyone got any miracle tips for cleaning up spark plugs [editline]1st June 2013[/editline] Fouled with oil from leaky rocker cover gasket
It's a Honda Accord V6 bro. But those are the four cylinder engines. It caught me off guard too. But most V6s face the same way my engine does. But there's little performance difference.
soak em all in a bucket with gasoline
why did not think of that, thnxu

-Fixed the heater core vsv/vacuum system. -reinstalled my boost controller (since I have 2jz injectors, had 'em for a while now) and upped the boost from 10 psi to a respectable 15 on those poor peashooters -Tuned the A/F table a bit on the highway with the safc II, no Fuel cut due to -12% across the board (slightly less @ 8k rpm)
not to mention they're still fwd.
! How? Explain to me this sorcery...
Spend 111 on a full exterior detail Get rained on tonight
I need to do a full interior pressure wash, and it's predicted to rain for the next 10 days. I know I said I wanted rain the other day but fuck man, I can't handle the smell anymore. Don't ask, prior owner had kids and didn't know what clean was...

I'd also never seen a Honda V6, and didn't know they made one.
Nah, I just hadn't seen a transverse mounted V-engine before, and thought it'd be problematic/impossible because of space limitations. I'd also never seen a Honda V6, and didn't know they made one.
Pretty much every FWD V6 is that way lol, there's much more space limitations with it longitudinally mounted since you know the wheels are in the front and the transmission would have to be in the back. Most of the newer Hondas have the J series V6, they're all mounted transversely. A V6 can be shorter than a I4 too since it's only 3 cylinders long instead of 4. The Honda V6's are really as good as their 4 cylinder motors, the only problem is the cars they are in aren't as commonly modified and space makes it more difficult to anything F/I. The J series are some serious motors which all of the better of which put out like at least 280hp/260tq. The new RLX motor is supposed to put out 310hp/272tq out of the 3.5l with direct injection and 11.5:1 compression. I've also heard that they all take really well to a few upgrades. With a bigger cam, stronger valve springs and a little headwork they can rev out to 8k+ all day and make significantly more power apparently.
Yeah, I was just unaware that there existed FWD V6s, and I guess I was thinking space limitations in terms of the width of the V-engines, since they've got about the space for another cylinder bank in the middle, but then they could just make the front longer. [editline]2nd June 2013[/editline] Also, I just (finished) changing the tires on the Caravelle, since I was too sick to do it yesterday. For whatever reason, this change was the easiest I've ever done. And the most useful tool I had was a long wooden stick, 'cause I was too lazy to actually get up and go get all the other shit. But now I've got a garage jack that's no good, and a handbrake that works halfway (locks on the right side, but not on the left)
There even are FWD V8, have you been living under a rock? :v: To name a few.
Awesome, GF's S13 alternator finally gave out. Engine was misfiring and just won't start. Had to jump it to work today. Gonna have to sacrifice my alt for her car. Maybe I can look into a Nissan Quest alternator upgrade
Had to re-tint my tail lights. The Niteshade faded out completely clear after 3 years. Think they ended up darker than 3 years ago, hopefully won't get hassled by Po-Po. Original Tint: New Tint:
That looks nice. I love tinted lights
Rolled fenders yesterday (used the actual tool), going to redrop my car today.
Rolled fenders yesterday (used the actual tool), going to redrop my car today.
I rolled the inner fender lip up on my old Corolla with a baseball bat :v: I didn't give much of a fuck about that car anyway since it was a cheap beater.
Changed the clutch lever on my TZR \ :v: / First of many jobs that need doing
And I still need a wiring diagram for my car. Apparently the horn has been rewired so the light switch needs to be flicked, and the key put in the ignition for it to work. There's DEFINITELY been a aftermarket alarm installed in the past, but I can't fix the fuckups done without factory wiring diagram.
