Hot damn, with the pricetag of "race" radiators it would almost be cheaper and better to modify heavy duty OEM radiators to your exact specs.
If you happen to know a guy who can weld aluminum for a fair price.
I bought a 2-row, dual pass Koyorad because it fits snugly into OEM specs and fits stock parts. With the trouble and cost, it would be close. Would like a three-row stacked copper though; would be nice.
Finally got the right 25mm sway bar bushings, feels like butter even more turning now. The key is lubing every single metal to poly contact points liberally and using fresh fasteners with lock washers
As of yesterday (It's a long boring story as to why not sooner), I am officially licensed and the car is on the road. Plus I got some new rims yo.

Probably should have got a new bumper cover first.
Changed diff oil
WHAT A CHANGE.
diff chatter is gone, diff whine is gone. It was weird, the old oil didn't smell like used diff oil usually does. also: I was impressed at the amount of steel powder on my magnetic plug, looks like it won't tough another drag day
Changed oil, fixed rear blinker not working. Took the tail light apart and cleaned all the electrical contacts. We'll see if it stops working the next bump in the road I hit.
Bought a bottle of that Marvel Mystery Oil too, just to see how it goes. Put a little in my gas and the rest in my oil.

Been meaning to update a little on the last time i did a MMO clean.
The last two oil changes i saved in 5qt jugs.
Both changes were done with same oil, filter, and i added half a bottle of MMO 500 miles before both changes.
The last change looked like it was a bit cleaner than the one before, im thinking every time i do it, it slowly removes more and more. I dont seem to be burning as much oil either.
redid the fuel lines on a 94 dodge spirit with a friend of mine (who happens to be a chick.....I think I may have to wife that girl ..lol) yesterday me and the same friend started pulling a motor out of a 95 cavalier

Changed the rack and pinion bushings today. It's kind of a pain doing it on jack stands and having little room; the steering column links are right next to the oil pan so it was somewhat difficult to place the bushing there. Cleaned the clamps, fasteners and rack before placing them
Turns out the rack was shifted a few inches to the right and was bouncing because the old bushings were just so worn. Super dangerous lol. One less thing to kill me, now it's really held on secure, highly recommended upgrade/repair
Changed my carrier bearing for the stock DS (fucked up my 1piece :( ) with a ford ranger unit (50$) instead of the 270$ oem toyota
I DIY a steel plate to hold the block in place

Here is what it looks like facing the bearing

Got to the AC Compressor trying to see how it comes off. and there are 3 bolts like this . ' .
ONLY 2 Bolts were there!!!!!
Anyway took all that shit off and now the compressor is on the ground in the shop with the new on going to arrive tuesday ish a day before my windshield appointment...
Also wile pitterpattering around the shop I tripped over a table saw and it went into the rear of my car put a nice 1" scratch in the side and the motor of the saw went into the tail light and cracked it.
Trying to find perfect condition taillights like mine were in is going to be hard...

[editline]9th June 2013[/editline]
my automerge
-Fixed the igniter plug again
-Fixed the heatercore bypassvalve VSV and wiring
-Added a bit of rice to my intercooler
i got into a fight at a local town celebration,
The asshole decided to kick my door in, so my drivers door has a huge dent, and other than that, he smashed to side window too...
Police were on the scene, so i expect the guy to pay me up,
probably a good thing my mate kept me from punching this guy in the face, since it was all the "locals" vs me and my friend...
I got good deals at the yard today; two dead Nissans:
Year-old 24F battery: $50
Alternator: $25
Power steering hose: $10
Fan clutch: $5
Pockets full of good Japan lightbulbs. Pretty much just need a few bucks more for some motor oil and a headlight switch then I'm golden! I can already see my S13 being complete
Went to a local auto scrap yard and uhh pulled shit.
I broke the temperature sensor on my lower radiator hose (Cable poped too close to the connector)
Picked up a used cable + sensor off a 01 Passat TDI and its shifting column...
So if my AC does not get fixed soon at least I will have TIPTronic to play with again :v:
[editline]fdkjngf[/editline]Phodo for anyone who cares. (Took with a 200mm lens indoors lol)

Got my rear brake rotors in and I got my new hvac check valve installed.
Sprayed a bumper lip and drip rail for a friend's BMW 3series. Black, I hate spraying black.

And changed the rear strut/knuckle on my friend's Corolla the other day because he'd gotten T-boned, which messed them up. Everything came out OK, except the bottom like 12" long bolt that goes through both lower control arm things, and the knuckle... well it was rusted solid inside of the center of a rubber bushing at the end of one of the control arms. What a nightmare it was drilling it out with a 1/3HP drill press. Kill me. Right after we started working on the car it started raining, too.. what a fun night.
This little arse is what's left of the bolt that got drilled out.. once it was almost completely gone I took a chisely-punch thing and drove it out.

A 2 hour or so job turned into like.. 7. bluh!
Got around to installing the OEM power steering line. I love how beefy and made of steel it is. Also love the reinforced rubber hose. Fit just fine; love it.
Never buying an Autozone/Mexico/Chinese replacement ever again. This was my second hose that popped. They break at the fragile welds. Next time when I have more money, I'm going Russel/Aeroquip/Earl's custom steel braided lines
bough a breather filter for my iscv
its raining, can't install.
Fu
Washed my car.
I think my front left brake is sticking a bit. I did it right after driving, sprayed my front wheels first. Passanger side, no steam. Drivers side, steamed like i sprayed a hot exhaust manifold.
That wheel was also covered in brake dust, so covered its stuck in the clearcoat. The other side was fairly clean.
Also, front right tire was down to 25psi. Heres to hoping its just some fluke. Aired it back up to 34. That tires the one i hit a turtle with and had to reseat the bead due to leaking
Decided to clean my interior. Didnt vacuum, just a simple wipe down and trim restore treatment.
Been a good 4 months or so since ive done it
Damn. Drove everywhere in southern California today.
Managed to kill the alternator by having the power steering hose I installed pop. Drenched everything in AT fluid; joy. I wonder why it keeps popping? Too much pressure?

How is your powersteering set up? On my dad's Powerstroke, the power brakes and power steering are somehow connected. One day I turned the wheels while stopped, hit the brakes, and the line exploded from too much pressure.
Does it feel heavy?
Running heavy/big tires in front?
Running the right tranny fluid?
Since the line was new, pretty much all that'd make it pop is something making the pump work too hard and making too much pressure build up to turn the wheels.
I can't say what'd exactly do that, maybe very wide offset wheels that're a bit too heavy. Maybe if the rack/pinion is worn and isn't moving quite so smoothly?
Bought another stang, this one is a piece of shit but it has a good trans in it so i'm going to pull it and throw it in the other one, should be done by the weekend. Has 4 not bad tires on it so burnout vids to follow.

Back when I had my Z31, I was trying to remove the harmonic balancer off of an engine with an automatic transmission. I couldn't get the damn thing in gear from the cab and was tired of the pulley spinning around. There I am cussing and flapping my arms, and this tiny mexican dude trying to take the guibo pries open the tranny with a crowbar, jams in the longest flathead I've ever seen, and tells me to try again.
Worked like a charm.
