S13 brakes and shit on front end too
Yes sexy pillar-less model with independant rears. Good to see another Skyline.
Passage = Pillarless if you didnt know :D
What have you got?
(new here lol)
oh man, started the 86 up.
as in, I made it go PUFPUF after firing some starter fluid into the intake, not sure if the pump is working or not yet.
also moved to paint booth, when that's done, put on tail lights, two seats and be like gotta go fast.
Been cleaning up some boot stuff. It was all smudgy and crap
before:

Cleaned up:

Took the lock assembly out and cleaned it thoroughly, shines all up nicely again (just a bit hasey from the cleaning stuff, goes off). Also removed all the smudge and scratches on the black metal part, however it's still missing paint here and there. Is there a good way to get the white spots black without needing to repaint all of it? Repainting is obviously the best way, just means I have to do a lot of prepping for a pretty tiny project.

Will definitely see if I can find something like that here, thanks!

A fellow enthusiast/tuner appears!
A bunch of people here have really nice cars they are currently working on. ThermalArc has a Supra, Alec W has a Miata, Psygo has an 86, Super Noodle has a Skyrine and I have an S13.
I drove the Audi around to let the suspension loosen up a little before I took it in for alignment.
The passenger side was fairly out of whack, but wile he was doing it he showed me that my passanger wheel also had a knot in it.
:sigh:
brb preparing anus for massive expensive bill.

Go ghetto and ride steelies.
Paint them satin blood red and pinstripe the tyres.
Or just paint the steelies matte white and go "fuck this shit"

This does not fix much. Finding a steelie that would work right would be interesting, and once you do they will be about half the price of the alloy's and I would rather spend that for good looking wheels.
But were still in the same boat with the tires.

You could search junkyards/car-part.com for other Audi wheels?
Thats what i did to get my wheels. Went from factory 15" steelies, to 2004 Forester 16" 5 spoke steelies for $120, and ive got a set of 1998 Legacy GT 16" snowflake alloys waiting to go on that i got for $125.
Pretty good way to save money on OEM wheels if you can find ones you like
Well, I got the windshield out of the 'net
BUT I broke it on the corner.
I WAS SO CLOSE to getting it out with no harm done, but whatever, new glass isnt that bad of a price and its probably stronger.

Rule of thumb is the EXPECT it to break, but hope it doesn't.
Especially if you live in a area with cold winters & warm summers.
the tempering of the glass makes it incredibly more fragile than it already is.

I guess I fixed the small bogging issue of the GF's S13. Turns out the hose directly from the pump rotted away at the nipple and was leaking gas everywhere. Explains horrible MPG.
:v:
Don't think I've posted this yet but the rims for the dart came in, 15x6 3.5 backspace for the front, 15x10 3.5 backspace for the back. They are Billet Specialties Street Lites, costed me $1200 for all 4, and they messed up the order and gave me silver ones originally so I sent them back and got the black which was apparently more money for no extra cost.

Might grab a shot of the backs, ehh. Going to have the outer chrome ring powder coated black some time. They come with center caps but they arnt in the picture.

Hnnnnnng I love those wheels. Going to look so badass.
Installed a thermostat today, supposed to be the easiest thing...
EXCEPT the top nut HAD to be pre stripped and stuck on there with so much force.
My dad ended up helping me by sawing a 1/3rd of the stripped nut off and then using a breaker bar and hammer to break it loose.
I got it all back together, new Thermostat works like a charm, no leaks, new nuts and best of all, the stud has no damage.
Also I REALLY need another set of sockets, the ones I use are a chinese set my dad bought when he was my age. Many of the middle sized sockets are stripped.
Helped my XJbro drop his trans/t-case, gonna finish up tomorrow if i get done scrapping early enough.
Didn't like the clear tail lights my car came with ordered some new ones.

Clicked the wrong reply button?
Anyway I enjoy High Performance summer tires. If I could get away with it I would use a completely bald tire, because every road I go down is a black top and those tires stick to that like orgasmistic.
I had thoughts about getting other tires, baby I just stick to my Federal SuperSteel 595's who knows, I have until August 2nd to decide. (That's when the wheels come in from back order)
