Oh and you can give the coilpack cover thing a cool look if you grind off the paint on the ridges and the words. We've done this to a few of our quad 4s, looks p neat imo. I think they do it for just the words stock. If you dont want it to rust you could also shoot it with some clear.

Worked on my rock crawler some more. Just inspecting it, seeing what needs to be done to the chassis. Found out my springs were reversed (front on back, back on front) which was making the rear sit higher than normal and be stiffer than normal, also made my front super soft. So i fixed that, feels much better. The knuckle should be easy to strengthen. Wont even have to take it off the truck. I also took off the back bed cover thing. Just wanted a place to set parts for it, and taking that off gives it a small bed. Heres a few pictures; [t]http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/6547/aoid.jpg[/t] [t]http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/5027/stxj.jpg[/t] [t]http://img545.imageshack.us/img545/5876/j38t.jpg[/t]
My car's manual says the coolant capacity in total is 4.9 liters, I flushed out the block and radiator and then added about 2.4 liters of anti-freeze concentrate, only got a tiny amount of water in and it was full. All the air has been purged from the system, i'm guessing the block and heater core is full of water? I should definitely have around 50% mixture? [editline]13th July 2013[/editline] The system is reading full (4.9), I've used 2.4 liters of anti-freeze so I should be okay.
that's why i use premixed
I always buy coolant and transmission fluid from the Honda dealership.
I dunno, if it was all water not a mix in there and it actually does hold that much then you should be fine
starting to blueprint a center console / front tombstone for the miata. sheetmetal. should be hot.
I always buy coolant and transmission fluid from the Honda dealership.
Round about how much do you pay out the door? I'd prefer to get OEM fluids if able. Which reminds me, the last guy to put the fill cap/bolt for my tranny on herculesed it, so now I have to fill it at the speed sensor hole. :/
You should get a big breaker bar, and i paid like $60 for two 1 gallon bottles of coolant, and like 30 dollars for two quarts of manual transmission fluid. It's a steep price, i know, but it's not like you have to change those two things all of the time, and you know it's gonna be good for the car.
Hmm. Purple callipers to match my purple intercooler?
that's why i use premixed
If I used pre-mixed and half of my system still has water in it from the flush, then it will be horribly diluted. I guess I should be fine.
I think two jugs of Honda Type 2 were $41 and 3qt of Honda MTF was $33. I thought my stealership was bad.. I know a few people who can get a qt of MTF for $7 now so you should really be able to do better than that... Some people swear by the speed sensor hole actually, they say it's quicker, easier and allows you to put in the right amount.
Worked on the Crawler a little more. Part of the roll cage was broke off, so i plastic welded it back on. Also started strengthening the knuckle, but i think ill have to take it off to finish that. Quick pic of the cage part i fixed; [t]http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/9649/sfjz.jpg[/t] The Raptor should be here tomorrow. Just doing enough work to the Jeep body to keep it usable
This comes in... 'free install' by a 'dude with the hookup'. Took 8 hours, and left like this, and then this fella came to me pretty mad about the whole ordeal. Which I can understand, LOL!!! '08 Ford Escape: how to install subs with the factory radio (no) The issues start with an unfused power wire.. First and third images are like "what the actual fuck" [editline]15th July 2013[/editline] PS I'd never put an amp on the sub box.. personally.
And I've mounted hundreds to sub boxes. It all comes down to what the custy wants, never had one fail from vibration or anything. Biggest issue is it makes the whole package a theif's special of the day.
Yeah, I know a lot of people do it without any issue but it just doesn't feel right to me.
How about the trunklid instead?? :v: I guess technically it's a sound processor, whatever. It was fun regardless.
I had quite an eventful weekend ya'll; I finally got a new front bumper and headlight assembly for my Jeep. My best friend and I spent Saturday getting all of that put together; then today I got Driving Lamps for my roof rack. I just need to finish wiring them up and they should be golden.
Got rid of the back seat in the f150. So much more room in there now that my subwoofer sits on the floor and not on the rear seat directly in my face. Put the interior all back together. I'm buying the insurance this week and registering it in my name, and then inspecting it next week after I drive it on the 10 day inspection from DMV. After 4 months it's finally done and it'll be on the road. So fucking close...

I prolly should have put way more fluid in then what I did, being I had drained the damn thing near dry and had the TC off, I was a quart low and every time I'd start off the line from a stop I'd either lurch forward like I was trying to race or the tires would just spin from suddenly kicking in. They'd only spin after it rained tho and stopped on the big white "stop here" line. Also, I "raced" a 2013 camero. It fucking ate me but, I didn't have it floored either. A turbo'd neon and something else joined in, there were at least 8 tires spinning. Heh, rain. Twas... fun.
we ripped the benz apart and replaced the passenger side fender and the front bumper [t]http://puu.sh/3DrGL[/t] pretty! [t]http://puu.sh/3DrH0[/t]
Skylines far too race car to be on the road every day lol Need a proper daily.. [editline]16th July 2013[/editline] Anyway, with that passing thought posted, what I came here to ask is Is tightening up drum brakes (hand brake) hard? Something about a one way bolt.. overview looked basic as fuck, but cars arent always as straight forward as they seem
Got the Raptor body today. Was a hassle getting it on, but i like it. It sits higher than id like, but overall, it worked out pretty good. I didnt modify the body, other than taking off the spare tire. Had to stretch the crawler frame about 2" to fit the body [t]http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/858/wuez.jpg[/t] [t]http://img560.imageshack.us/img560/3088/pb8i.jpg[/t] [t]http://img824.imageshack.us/img824/6431/vxxj.jpg[/t]

Don't mind the elec tape, my poor light had a boo-boo I patched with JB weld. Started peeling stickers off; [t]http://img856.imageshack.us/img856/3086/zwtj.jpg[/t] Got half done. But one issue. When i tried taking 'New Bright' off the windshield, i tried using finger nail polish remover without acetone. It removed it, but it smeared it all over and now i cant get it off. Any ideas, or should i just sand it some? [t]http://img196.imageshack.us/img196/8708/73s0.jpg[/t]
laquer thinner? or is that basically the same thing as nailpolish remover.

Decided I was in it to win it and they came out ok.
