Liters per hour, I would have expected someone using the metric system to know that. :v:
320lph? HA! I'm running 340lph in the Daytona. But I have big boost plans. Eventually. *shrug*
big boost indeed. 320lph is enough to feed 6x 800CC @ 85% dutycycly with a 50psi base 1:1 raising rate I'm also going for water meth to go crazy on the timing
Just finished yanking the cylinder head off of the Turbo Z. Saving all of the Turbo I stuff for the maroon Daytona, tomorrow morning I will start prepping the block for the new head (plugging holes, drilling things, etc.). Exciting things are happening! I need to order a turbo manifold for the new head as I don't have one, and I need to find out which plug wires to use as well as which intake manifold so that I can keep the factory distributor location. If it ends up costing too much I will go with the best intake manifold I can get for the money and order the distributor adapter to drive it off of the back of the head.
That's cute :3
fuck you man
I'd do the work to tarbo the v6, but being moderately poor I can't afford all the goodies to do so. If I had an extra 2500 bux I could manage, maybe.
Walk up in the club like what up I got a big cylinder head
I was fed up with always carrying a power inverter with me on long trips or ins rare cases feeling like a tool because I was at a curb sale or in the woods and I simply had n place to plug something in. I picked up a Black and Decker 200w power inverter that had a blown cap and a wrecked power button. 200w is enough to power shit like chargers or a small TV or whatever else I may need and light enough it won't kill my battery in an hour. I replaced the cap and rewired the power/indicator board so it was now separate form the inverter unit but connected to it over regular Cat 5 cable. The bulkhead with the 12V and 120v outputs was removed and termination blocks were put in. The controls as seen are now fitted to one of the blanking plates up at the steering wheel. These plates are stupid brittle. Even when pilot drilling I still managed to not only crack it in two. but break off the retainer tabs so like the three others I've modded it's now held in with JB Weld. The bulkhead I mentioned earlier now sits in the hole where one of the rear ashtrays are and just barely fits. The inverter hides the panel and just above the rear passenger wheel with the wiring for the satellite radio.
Looks like some nice clean work :)
I have a 600 watt inverted in my crown vic, but its not installed as nice as yours. I mounted it on the inside of my center console (that I built out of plywood) with wood screws and spliced some wires down from the cable cluster that used to connect to some police equiptment.
Found out one possible reason for the rich running condition the engine of my GF's S13 currently has. The fuel pressure regulator has a vacuum line that lets it operate; that hose has a nice chaffed hole in it. Nissan thought it would be a brilliant idea to lay the injector harnesses right on top of the rubber hose. Could be the reason why the engine seems like its flooding with gas and why the old fuel pump died. Also may be the reason why the catalytic converter is possibly clogged, leading to the destruction of the exhaust manifold fasteners, causing tremendous exhaust leak. Funny how something tiny like a hose can lead to all these catastrophic damages. Freaking Nissan and their complicated, interconnected systems
the fuel pressure drop at idle (high vacuum condition on the diaphragm), it's possible that a vacuum leak there would dump more fuel pressure at idle, thus running rich and yeah: clogging the cat. It wouldn't be the cause for the death of your fuel pump and very unlikely the cause for the destruction on your exhaust manifold fasteners it is also a fairly simple system that most japanese maker adopted long ago ;)
I love audio. I decided my car audio system didn't have enough low end, even worse on the motorway where the road noise completely masks the lower frequencies. Now, I do sound related stuff so I have a fairly large hire stock of PA gear... Including multi-kw bass bins with 15" speakers, Big and heavy enough to have their own castors! So I grabbed a spare car power amp from a previous project (Some Sony Xplod 222W thing) and set away installing it. I only had a 5A fuse so I used that. Meaning the amp can only draw 5*12 Watts (60W) of power from the battery, assuming the amp is 90% efficient then the amp is only going to output 54W. With this meagre power this PA sub is able to get too loud for my ears (I do take care of my ears though so loud noises are a no-no, I carry ear plugs with me) and shake the various interior panels. It's more than enough to balance the sound of my system, I'll probably leave the 5A fuse in there. This is why I advocate properly designed speaker cabinets, you'll be surprised how much you get from an efficient speaker+enclosure design
New idler is in, and i adjusted my TPS properly. Pretty sure it being cocked the wrong way actually was causing my stumble on revving it quickly, checked with multimeter while opening the butterfly slowly, as throttle opened it suddenly spiked in voltage and then at acertain point it read normal again, and then went up gradually and normal like.
Family friends truck ran out of diesel in my yard :D, so we had to run in to get some more diesel fuel, turns out we had to bleed the lines to get all the air out, then it started right up. Also my hands smell like diesel fuel and i love the shit out of it.
My cousin once bought diesel for his grandpas truck in Portland, Oregon. You aren't allowed to pump your own fuel at most gas stations in Portland, so as he got a mile down the road he realized the dumb ass attendant put gas in his tank. It was in the shop for a few days.
That happened to my dad once too, I think he made them pay to have it all flushed out and stuff lol
it's actually against the law to pump your own fuel here in jersey. 2muhfreedom4u I think diesel you're allowed to though or some shit if its a commercial tagged vehicle
Hey Arid why do you always rate me dumb why are you hating

Im now in NC, been to a dozen gas stations by now, and none of them pump for you. On the trip down, went to quite a few gas stations, none of them pumped for you either. I didnt even know there were gas stations that still pumped gas for you, other than that one in Maine :v
It's funny watching people who have never pumped their own gas try for the first time.

In Oregon, you can pump your own gas into a motorcycle with the attendant "watching". I'm not 100% sure, but I think they also just watch you if you have a diesel vehicle.
Well what turned into a test fitting became an install I am now running a diesel NPR truck intercooler. Too tired to try it out tonight but here. Had to reroute the transmission cooler lines and come up with another oil cooler bracket. Also might have to shorten the cold side tubing a little. [editline]13th September 2013[/editline] Not like it mattered much to him, he used his grandpas truck to move into his apartment and forgot to put his parking pass in the window on his first night there, and when he came out the next morning the truck had been towed. Less than a week later the transmission let go.
I hate relying on other people to pump my gas. I don't trust anyone else near my car, which makes it difficult having a beach house in Jersey.
I never let anyone fill my car, too scared of anyone dumping lower than 91 octane in it.
Well, I got to finishing the intake for my new Super6 setup. I blew the crap out of this intake with my compressor, then shot some sand down its throat a few times. Cant do too much or I'll change the shape too dramatically. I did not surface the runner ends. I'm waiting on another exhaust manifold to show up, so I can attach them together, and then surface the whole unit at once. I did finish off the inlet where the carb sits and made sure it was nice and flat all the way across. I painted it an old school blue - fairly close to what it's supposed to be, then when the exhaust comes I'm going to high temp it either black, or white - we'll see... I found an air cleaner for the super six setup that still has the nice "Super 6" on top, and a single snorkle. I may cut the whole thing up and make it an open element, but for now, it'll work. Waiting on the carb kit to come in the mail - I need to finish off this Carter BBD... I'm waiting on the trunk connector piece to come in that attaches the two sides together. All custom made. Keeps people from asking what year Chevy Nova it is... I got rid of my airbag light tonight. It such a small thing, but its great not having any warning lights on [t]http://i.imgur.com/QBqgnSx.jpg[/t]
Re-bled the clutch cylinders today. Too much freeplay and the engagement point is non-existent in the pedal travel. I think my throwout bearing is making noise too
I hate relying on other people to pump my gas. So shortly after, my CEL would come on because of it
bought the e30, still gonna buy the m30b35, not sure if i'm gonna drop it in just yet tho, my dad says we might be able to just drop the oilpan and change some bearings i don't know in english, and it'll run. [editline]14th September 2013[/editline] or rather it'll run fine, it does already run, just not so good. [editline]14th September 2013[/editline] lolwrongthread.
