So I went out driving in my Mustang to try out my new headlights and they needed a bit more adjusting than I thought. The low beams were where the brights should be and the brights were just shooting up and over other cars. I had a guy flash his brights at me at a stop sign and I only had my lows on :saddowns:
Got my SPO on.
Someone was driving in Yonkers, NY with just a back Quebec plate on. I didn't know we let you hippies drive with your plates here
Girlfriend hated all the blue gauges. So here's super fucking bright pink ones. Even her dome light will be pink. I love LED's and how they're only $3 for ten units and they're blindingly bright. Anyone use them? Gotta convert all the bulbs on my car too. I have a four-day off from Nissan so I can finally finish my engine build! Yeayuh

They're the two colours that's the least annoying to look at in the night.
Holy shit, they're only $3? Those LED lightbulbs cost like $10 around here.
What the fuck happened to smooth green or warm white? They're the two colours that's the least annoying to look at in the night.
amber, amber is the least annoying colour
red is
red is
Red and blue are actually the most "annoying" colours Hence why almost all emergency vehicles use them for showing their presence.

From what i understand, it was something about them just having a resister to stop the voltage from going too high, but it still went too high and burned them. Suppisedly some brands are better and dont use a resister, they use something else?

They're pretty good I'd say, they always have a small resistor built in-line. There's different kinds. You should choose the more expensive ones like these SMD LED's or the even newer ones with Cree LED's. Old LED's are encased in a plastic reflector housing and those don't last very long. Some LED bulbs need an in-line load resistor to be placed before the bulb socket so they don't burn out. Particularly the bulbs used for brake and turn signal lights. Some bulbs are more expensive and they are related to CANBUS technology. They pretty much have a load resistor built-in already so they just plug and play
Holy shit, they're only $3? When I can get around 30 for $10 at eBay

A decent current limiter could be something as simple as a IC in series with the LED's example: http://www.hansenhobbies.com/products/lighting/electronics/led_cl_20/
red is
yesss German's know best. I could lounge in my audi for decades and not even gripe about the lighting, but the LCD Dash does get annoying if you have a warning light on saying you have low windshield fluid.
Red and blue are actually the most "annoying" colours Hence why almost all emergency vehicles use them for showing their presence.
Paint your dick red and blue and see if women attract to it more.

uhhm. Not bad actually. It looks more purple than pink. [editline]27th September 2013[/editline]
Paint your dick red and blue and see if women attract to it more.
Works for Monkeys and Turkeys.
yesss German's know best.
It is not red, BMW clearly uses orange.
I took the front off my car to size an inter-cooler. Now that I know it'll fit I can start planning the pipine and battery migration in preparation for a turbo system. Gonna try and weld up a bracket tomorrow/today. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/qbP2VE0.jpg[/img_thumb]
Such a tiny engine bay. Maybe if all the plastic covers were gone it may be able to fit.
It is not red, BMW clearly uses orange.
no
no
Yes Our 528i has orange gauges and orange accent lighting. You are color blind
fukfukfukfukfuk I found the dead rod bearing in my e30, and we replaced it, and when we started to put back the oilpan we realised something was wrong when we couldn't turn the engine... assembled it anyway and if it goes again i'll just throw away the engine.
I am most certainly not, my gauges are decidedly red.
BMW does both from what I've seen.
Its weird then, drove both a new 335i and a 04' 330i and they were both orange. Also ordered some new silicone hoses to go on my intercooler. Also got a deal on shiny T bolt clamps :v:
Did my 220k oil change today. Tip for people that use 4qt jugs of oil (Rotella does this;) 5qts can fit in them. Useful for pouring old oil into and taking it to dump it
I'm doing some DIY!
You.... Almost have... If not the same ABS Pump than me. Freaking weak ass cold solder joints.
