Me and my brother were going to go buy a jack, and then once we were at the store to buy said jack he suddenly had no money. I paid for it, but the jack wouldn't fit under his car. >:)
Changed the dome light bulb in my car. Researched more into reman'd steering racks. Found a place that sells them for $180 including the $25 core charge. Im just worried about ordering one because i dont know if they fix/replace worn gears when they rebuild them. My rack doesnt leak at all, its the gears that are the issue
Waiting for Bradley to post his trike situation.
Yeah I feel really bad for bradley He needs a hug :(
I always wondered if a vehicle's rotors can act like wheels in a desperate situation... Now I know!
Adjusted my window. It was too far in and sometimes made it hard to close the door. I got it to be about as hard to close as my door is. Decided to order the steering rack for $180
Sanded down the trunk lid, doing the drivers side door tomorrow Before pic is really old [thumb]http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u423/Lawblind/AE20A808-FFCE-422F-8466-B8018D34EC56-3301-000003522C44A701_zps21067931.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u423/Lawblind/866F5EDA-3775-4BD2-86BD-E4F65886D77A-3301-000003521C819D90_zps6926e17d.jpg[/thumb] Got my momentum back for working on the car, pretty happy. Changed the clutch cable in my Opel. Very easy to de clutch now.
Is that a Chrysler Valiant VG/VF coupe?
It's a 67 Dodge Dart GT
Changed the clutch cable in my Opel. Very easy to de clutch now.
I wish my S13 had a drive-by-wire clutch cable. Would make things infinitely better.
I wish my S13 had a drive-by-wire clutch cable. Would make things infinitely better.
Everything in my car is drive by wire (except for brakes and steering :v:) [editline]17th March 2013[/editline] I don't even have a servo, which is fine by me. I find it more fun to drive that way. [editline]17th March 2013[/editline] My gas pedal is very heavy to press on though, gonna have to dismount the cable and cover it in grease some time.
[t]https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-frc1/887021_547649998603244_2079582278_o.jpg[/t] Prosted directly from Bradley FB. It looks like its holding up to me...
Except the suspension flexes and the car still hits the ground and fucks up the body good. There's also the oil pan, shift linkage, exhaust and tons of other stuff to grind the shit out of which you really don't want to.
but if you had to...

Little bit more sanding to do to the back side (im not doing the large blue part with holes, that gets covered by a door panel)
Messed with the adjustments on my window more. Cant get the thing to close how i want it. No matter how i adjust it, it still makes the door hard to close. For now, im just calling it good. I got it a tiny bit better than yesterday.
During my hour-long lunch break at work, I swapped-out the oil-fouled spark plugs on GF's S13 with NGK Platinums. Pulls smoother and harder now. Cylinder #1 and #3, plugs are oil soaked at the threads. Valve stem seals? Piston rings? [editline]edited[/editline] Pageking, enjoy this labor of love:

The bearing on my belt tensioner decided to seize causing the plastic pulley to melt due to the friction and throw melted plastic all through my engine bay... Got a replacement though.
I went to get a replacement jug and piston. whooo 10$ for a semi used jug, std piston and rings! And spent the entire day cleaning shit, Used Super Clean for most of it did not exactly thing about long exposer to it and it literly degreased my hands. I have old man hands and I can berly move them. Shit got done, tomorrow will be the main back fan shroud, intake and anything else that the owner fit to paint BLUE will now be BLACK.
Isn't degreaser really bad for aluminum?
Isn't degreaser really bad for aluminum?
Uh..........I don't think so as long as you wash it off. I think at this point it has done more damage to be than the aluminum. I need to pick up 2 cans of High temp matte black... For the Jugs, Intake, and Alt. Urgg also fuck VW's tin. That shit is sharp as hell and when you try to clean it your mind says flip it and stuff, and end up cutting your fingers.
