I remember in the 90s civics had a similar issue. When I did installs on them the old method that was recommended was to leave the radio hanging by part of the harness and set it behind the dash. Stupid, but effective. I hate OEM alarm stuff like that. If you bypassed the wires like I said earlier, and made your own "ignition" by jumping the battery, then something in the dash is the issue. Does the radio require a code to reset it and use it? if so that may be needed. Dealerships usually do it for free.
The radio does not even power up, it's flat dead. But it seems like something in it is still working because the power antenna tries to do it's thing in a way that sounds like flipping a switch really fast on and off. I plan on finding a way to remove the whole system as from what I've read about it, it's a car breaking issue.
Vinyl looks much better than plastidip. That and it lasts more than 3 months.
The second part of this. Their is soo much truth in it. Ohh god I'm crying form the truth. Some one help the truth is overwhelming. < Plasti dips lower door molds < Never washes the plasti dipped door molds < Still starts to come off after 4 months. YEP IT WORKS GREAT GUYS A+ PRODUCT [sp]for tools[/sp] Getting some one to rhino line it without the plastic chunks is sooo much nicer.
The only good use for plastidip is well, try before you do. Want a black roof? Not sure how you'll like it? Plastidip it! Then a few hours/days later, rip it off and go either ; wax your roof again, or get it vinyl wrapped or painted in black.
Thats part of why i stay away from plastidip. Its expensive, pretty hard to get a good even coat, peels off fairly quick whether you want it to or not. Theres also how, in some cases, it damages the paint under it. The two most common are a hue left on the paint, and a rough texture left on the paint after removal

man I can't wait to have a winter DD or some shit so I can pick up another 4.0 and do some stroker magic for my Jeep.
I think im the only person here who has had a good experience with plasti-dip :|
I think im the only person here who has had a good experience with plasti-dip :|
I have never tried it. I think people exaggerate their bad experiences though.
No, it's not made for long term usage, it looks horrible in the long run and it leaves a nasty mess under when you peel it after a while. As pointed, it's the cheap way to test things and see if you like it before you wrap or paint. Or to protect your wheels if you bring em out in the winter.
For Shibian.
That was so satisfying to watch, i wish i had a job like that, and could make engines down to perfection..
I would hate having to do all that, I'm like Clarkson, I have to do everything with a hammer.
I would hate having to do all that, I'm like Clarkson, I have to do everything with a hammer.
That's because you're Swedish :v:
That might be true. I can't spend time on things, I just run out of patience and everything ends up being shit.

I'm fairly certain the plastidip on car thing was a trend started by BMW owners who don't actually own the car, but lease it, and therfor must return it to stock eventually. I know this was a famous method for blacking out the chrome double grills. Plastidip's real intended use is to put rubber grips on harbor freight tools. Not to paint cars...
Fixed an annoying suspension noise that started, but I need to find my fucking jack/s, my car isn't even lowered and I could barely fit under it and I'm a skinny guy but I got far enough in to tighten one of my rear sway links. I was sure I was going to need a new linkage, but I finally got far enough under to see the whole sway bar. gonna need to buy a new bolt tomorrow though

How much did the paint increase your MPG
*stuff*
Brb, painting green stripes on a red car.
How much did the paint increase your MPG
I want to buy one of those "hybrid" emblems and stick it right above my muffler one day I get a huge coffee can
trust me the second i get into the racing scene your going to see my engine painted red, green, blue to maximize power, cooling, mileage. I'll paint my muffler green too to reduce emissions, Make sure my tires have that blue thin line on the sides also so they don't get too hot in the bends

Post results of how efficient it is. Caution this post contains dangerous acts of anti-cooling property's to the crank case and jugs.
heh, he said jugs.
Does anyone know what this is/is it important? The white thing over the floor pans. The water seeped into it and is causing the floor pans to rust so I'd like to remove it and touch it up, but before I do I figured I should ask if anyone knows anything about it. Location: On both driver and passenger sides in the rear floor pans (dropbox won't let me display a direct link and cube upload is being a shit) https://www.dropbox.com/sh/iif9wl6xu1x84gn/lCtBgaemd9/2013-10-10%2019.39.28.jpg
