Put a new intake on my car, sounds a lot better than it used to.
Lacking a plastic shroud/duct, so it only sucks in air through the radiator.
I know. Shroud was lost in the 90s and finding a replacement is near $300. SO I'm making one. Don't worry. Should be done this week, I hope. Gotta add some structural ridges on it. Too flimsy, then I need to cut it right down the middle and put some flanges on it. Also 7 blades did come on V8's, but when they equipped the slants with A/C, they put 6 and 7's on them. I guess it worked better somehow. Don't know... Today on lunch I rebuilt a new sub box for the trunk. The old one was a generic one that didn't fit well anywhere, and it was open ported. I was not a fan, so I built a sealed box, that fit right up against the trunk lips so it should stay put on its own for now. Next I'm building two similarly sloped tool boxes to go on each side for parts and tools, so I can get rid of the plastic bin and scattered bits you see. Then I will join all three boxes, and cover it with a nice black carpet and white vinyl. Should look tits. I have two of that same Pioneer, 1000w right? Pretty decent speakers, they don't hit too bad.
That huuuuge trunk lid might get the flexes. mmmmmm I love when metal gets the flexes. Order some Second Skin / Peel n Stick / Dynamat for shit n giggles.
That huuuuge trunk lid might get the flexes. mmmmmm I love when metal gets the flexes. Now I can speak normal. I don't know if it's 1,000w. I got it about 5 years ago. No need to upgrade till it breaks. I had an audiobahn 2000w aluminum piston that weighed 18lbs. Solid metal with a rubber surround. That shit was the best, till the coil went out on both sides. It was like $600 when I got it in the early 2000s. Either way, I like the pioneer. Super nice, and was only like $160 when I got it. They dropped considerably though.

Allot of her shell is destroyed from impact. These are fun to piece back together. BUT GOD DAMMIT I NEED MORE HANDS TO LET THE 30 MIN GLUE TO CURE! (Too bad if you wont like planes Ima post some in here because Im working on all of my shit anyway)

How'd it happen anyway?
That's kinda heartbreaking to see, model airplanes are among the coolest models. How'd it happen anyway?
Dude was trying out a different battery and did not check the CG of the plane (ended up too tail heavy) Which because it is a 3D plane it made it just over the top sensitive. Sooo when he started to land it it got really squally, wing touched and it took a nose dive. CRUNCH Shes fixable but I'm still debating if its going to come out of this as a plane or as a "Lets see if it will fly, and if it fly's lets try snapping it in half mid flight"
I joined a RC plane club in Highschool while I was in Jrotc. On our first ever outing, someone crashed the plane within 15 minutes, and that was the end of the club.
not sure if ive mentioned this but i have a sandblaster so if any of you want any small parts sandblasted i can hook you up. the upper limit on size is about the size of my 18x10.5 wheels

Once you can do composites the sky is the limit for fabrication.
Is that fiberglass I see? Smart, and nice work with it. Once you can do composites the sky is the limit for fabrication.
Thanks. I've been doing glass for engine boxes and speaker enclosures for many many moons. This was a fairly simple project. I want to lay some carbon fiber ridges on it to help keep it rigid. It's about 4 layers thick and flimsy under pressure. But I only have about 1/4 yard of carbon left. Not enough sadly...
My grandfather used to build model sail boats (helped invent ODOM class) and has quite a roll of carbon in his storage. I can see if he is willing to sell it if you need some for long term. I'll probably go over in a week or two.
Fixed the coolant temp. sensor. It wasnt screwed in, i just had to pull it .. Also the battery was empty i had to jump start that and then i made a test drive

Get a picture of it for me if he wants to sell any.
Didnt do much today. Went to the garage, started the KQ300. Poor thing almost drained the battery trying to start :( Its also smoking a lot more than it was. I think ill do the throttle body cleaning trick, and maybe a tiny bit of MMO. The quad has a wet clutch, which is very sensitive to friction modifiers

replaced the main fuel pump today now my battery is dead and wont hold a charge. that interstate battery lasted nine and a half years before the it was completely drained due to an electrical malfunction during the previous owners time of ownership a few months ago, and now it's finally had enough. pretty great really.
9 and a half years is excellent value
I'd say it's an average life for an Interstate. :v:

My cousin has a focus. It won't start. I think it's been to the shop 3-4 times in the 6-8 months he's owned it. [editline]26th October 2013[/editline] Actually I think he got it for his birthday, back in July.
Didn't get a chance to really fix nothin'. Started work on a 66' Ford F100 rear axle with bad bearings but had a party/wake for a fallen friend who very recently passed from being hit by a drunk on his motorcycle. We mourned then got drunk in his honor, I had fun watching other people there get drunker then me, it was a blast. Personal edit: there were tons of DDs there. Also, i was told it was a drunk driver, I'm not sure as it sometimes tends to be false. I don't know the whole story. If everything else is in order then I'd look at that, cuz there is not too much left to check.
I don't know I'll ask though.
So I didn't really do any work on my car today but I did buy a bunch of stuff. I got a din sized cubby hole, new wiper inserts, a whisker(plastic piece that goes in front of the pop up headlights), and 3.5" speakers for the front, all for about 150 bucks. Looking forward to getting the stuff installed when I get them in the mail. Will post pictures when I do.
