Fixed my battery cables terminals, that negative one tightening bolt had broken off and the positive kept getting loose.
This is my fix ; works like a charm and no more fuckty oem terminals.

Bolted on the rear-strut bar today. Overkill 12.9 hardware with 10 grade strut tower nuts. Doesn't do much for suspension geometry but we'd do anything to stop frame warping

Fuck today. Just. God. Damnit. Thank god for precautions. Went out to try and fix my weather stripping, only made a mess though.
1. Gloves. Gotta have them. These are police gloves, but good enough.

Why didn't you buy weather stripping adhesive? Duh.

Because I found this in my garage :|
What I did today? I drove the beetle across town and went to the lake. About 100 miles round trip.
Never missed a lick. Almost got motion sick tho, it was windy and the car was having a ho-down in the front. Me sitting in my chair I can still fell it swaying back and forth...
The clutch is also mega stiff and grabs instantly... Need to fix that.
Because I found this in my garage :|
Then don't whine about a product that doesn't work because you don't use it for the right things.
Changed the oil, got the gas out of it. Plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor. Next weekend I'm dropping the rear driveshafts and my step-dad will fix em up with the new u-joints for me at his work, then I'll put em back in with the carrier bearing and it will be drivable! :D Also gonna do the serpentine and fuel filter next weekend.
She's coming along well. Then I gotta get a cab corner and weld that sonuvabitch on there and fix the wiper motor. If the fuse is in the wipers go full speed all the time, even when the switch is off. And then we can get it inspected, do the exhaust how I want it, and then I start saving for some proper offroad tires. And lights. And then I join the fire department and need to get a blue light... So much money, but so worth it.
Pictures aren't of the finished product but close enough.
I finished up the upper part of my "Icebox". I used some adhesive around where the old cone filter's "velocity stack"(reducer) and the disk which seals the airbox to keep them together since i just kinda randomly fit them together when making it and was surprised two somewhat random things fit together.

I also painted my stock heatshield I took off ages ago because I'd always have to check my oil and it was a pain to find the hole in the dark. Honda painted them black on Type-R motors so whatever.
[t]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/5601782/IMG_20130325_164441.jpg[/t]
[t]http://asia.vtec.net/beystock/integra/art3/engine.jpg[/t]
I also changed out the retarded 3" specter rubber coupler for one I found in a drawer which is a proper 3-2.5" coupler which fits incredibly better and adjusted the filter and pipe so that it is fairly straight compared to the above pictures.
Now I'll just have to get the supplies for the cold air pipe to come out the bottom and I'll have a nice stock styled CAI which is dirt cheap and better than really everything but a straight velocity stack or a Comptech/CT Engineering intake.
[editline]25th March 2013[/editline]
Oh I also bought a Integra Type-R JDM Oil cap for 5hp+ and because mine was old, the rubber seal was flat so it probably didn't work and would require vice grips to remove when hot or not removed in 1k+ miles.
Cleaned my engine bay today using a brush, garden hose and engine de-greaser. Doesn't look amazing but it's a lot better than before, and yeah I covered up the alternator. I did notice while warming the engine so it would dry that there was a strong exhaust/petrol smell under the bonnet, I only just got a new full exhaust a few months ago, could it have been incorrectly fitted to the exhaust manifold? Any easy way to find an exhaust leak? My MOT is in a few days.
Fixed the rust that appeared this winter on my passenger side wheel well, dremelled the shit out of it till the metal was as shiny as chrome. Painted over, but the paint I had was slightly off, shame, but anyways the cancer is stopped and I'll just have to get a can mixed at some point and make it blend better. Last of my worries for now.
Finished the other door

Also got the passenger side fender done, had a pause in production due to not having any more 40 grit lying around, didn't think 220 grit would do anything but I tried it and its just as good and I have enough to do a whole other car.
[thumb]http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u423/Lawblind/9E202CA5-3663-415C-87E1-EC2AD7FD3A35-10329-00000E2396F304DE_zps930a2661.jpg[/thumb]
Nothing better than rust free fenders included with your car, and in Canada none the less.

Slowly chipping away. I scraped the coating on the inside of the drivers quarter too, since the other side wont have it, I'm only going up to a point where you cant really see the coating unless you look for it.

I wasn't done in this picture.
bonus picture of the fender mid sand, thought it looked pretty cool with all the lines visible.

Each panel is a little dinged up but when you've been on this planet for 45 years chances are you'll have a few dings too.
So much sexy metal, I miss old cars minus the weight.
So much sexy metal, I miss old cars minus the weight.
Cars don't weigh less now in general
The Civic gained like 100lb per generation, transforming from the small nimble jap car of the late 80's to a nice car of the 10's.
I think he means old american cars, those weren't exactly light.
but yeah newer cars aren't that much lighter because of all the shit that's in them now.
its 4 ur safety
I'd feel more safe being able to dodge shit in a light nimble thing than a landboat. Loves me my motorcycle for that, 40 hp but only 400 lb.
Gearbox is home and ready to be reinstalled in the supra.
I got to find a pilotbearing extractor, some redline mt90 and a way to hold the inputshaft tight onto the pilot bearing (the shaft has been damaged by previous japanese owner).
also my dad is a idiot and pushed the trans in the garage by the FUCKING SHIFTER.
fortunatly nothing has been damaged but FFS dad, THINK OF THE FORKS
Finally managed to change my oil today, had to use a supermarket car park for the right surface to jack up on.
By the way, is there a big difference between these spark plugs? I'm going to check mine pretty soon and if they need changing I was thinking about getting the Super 4 plugs.

Never get Bosch or Champion.
NGK all day every day
I caved, bought a Walbro 255 for a great deal and a set of oem speaker grills for my 5.25" speakers.
Also thinking about taking it to a shop to get my driveshaft support and trans mount done.

Champion and NGK are the same great quality. Stay away from Bosch unless you're a Euro guy. ACDelco is also pretty great. Autolite avoid unless USDM. Mainly because NGK/Champion are a higher quality for the same price.
I used copper before, stock and switched to platinum coated tip. NGK errday
I'll go with NGK, thanks guys. That is if they need changing. While I'm at it I'm gonna check the throttle body as my idle revs can wander sometimes, is it okay to use WD-40 to clean off any dirt? I don't want to buy some specialized spray that I will hardly use.
