Nope. BBS RS145s and RS055s. 16x7 and 16x8.
I really cant decide how i feel about the new wheels. I do love having 4 good and matching wheels, and i do like the wheels, im just not sure how i like them on my car. I think theyll grow on me though, especially when i get center caps

Thats for sure.
Even ignoring looks, the golds were steel and weighed 23lbs each. These are alloy and about 17lbs each
Yay, just fixed torque rods and my exciter wire finally decided to break off of the connector, so now I got to splice on a new wire to my alternator.

and then something else will break.
Coolant has been disappearing from my car, I suspected the head gasket to be the problem (as I've not seen any puddles under the car, also it's been smoking white while running), so I put the cylinders under pressure one by one, but I got no bubbles in the coolant jug from any of the cylinders. Odd.
I did however notice that all of the rings leak, and one of them even leaked during compression (noticed this while rotating the engine to get in the right position for the leak test), so I'll be checking the compression pressures tomorrow.
Check the weephole on the water pump. See if there is water or powder.

What kinda car is it you drive again? Depending on that and its engine you may have seepage, an issue where the head gasket is not really blown but still leaks when the piston draws down and reseals when firing causing the gasket fire ring to flutter in and out. It can make it really hard to find out its the HG is bad or not, you almost HAVE to pull the head to make the assessment. At least that how it was on my engine, but I'm sure you don't have a V6 Accord.
Huh, by your description, my mom probably has a blown HG. She had her water pump replaced because it was weeping. Her car stopped overheating for a while after it was replaced, but its overheating again.

I knew the car was a pos but Jesus. I've been telling my mom to get rid of it for almost a year now. I think she's put more money into repairs than she paid for it
So yeah, exicter wire terminal breaks off, its low enough to where I cant get low enough to FUCKING use this shite tool to actually crimp the connector.
Even better that I loosen the alt and the whole mount has play because the bolts holding it in worked loose.
So now ALL the piping on the pass side has to come of for the 30th time and then the alternator wires and the whole alternator.
know what, I don't tighten things down enough, im buying a 1/2 drive breaker bar and im going to snap those fuckers in there, I'm sick of this car.
I'm just not going to bother driving it for the next few days, fuck this.

Advise from a guy that has been in this exact situation. Locktite and the proper ft.lbs torqe shit.
If I would have it save'd me afew stupid 're-repairs.

Torque wrench? If your not careful with a breaker bar you'll bust off what ever bolt your mad at. I speak from experience, far to many time have I rended a stubborn bolt asunder.
Just to be safe, get an Inch lb and a Foot lb torque wrench each, it'll make your life way easy.
I got a package in the mail. Hooray for military surplus. My understanding is this is the general setup used for TOW launcher rigs, troop carriers, and other Humvee equipment. If it's good enough for the military I assume it's good enough for a collision. Since my car is a daily driver, I decided to go modern safety: front and back. I ordered a set of 3 brand new straps for the rear, and a large piece of steel to cut for the trunk to secure a L.A.T.C.H. system for my kids' car seats, and then all of this will be reused when I get my modern interior seats. I'm thinking two rows of F-150 Bench seats from a newer truck, but that idea keeps changing occasionally.

I bought this one as a pair, and it was $40 off ebay, with free shipping. These things are everywhere.

I got the driver side in and used both the old mounting points and it looks, and WORKS so much better than the original airline buckle across the waist. My car is a 68 so it also had a shoulder belt, which was optional and came across your neck, so it never got used by me and remained secure to the roof at all times. That mounting point was no good for the retractor feed, because it put the belt on your neck, and way behind the driver seat, about 1/2 way across the rear window, so I drilled a new hole in the C pillar, and tacked in a threaded insert, similar to what is used on the hump of the car. It goes right across the shoulder, and is comfortable, and not laying on the floor of the car when you get out of it. AND ITS NOT GREEN... like all the rest of the old stuff.
Car is back on the road, once I took the alternator out and spliced the wire, it was all easy from there tightening everything up, took about an hour from start to finish but it runs great again.
Hope that the loose accessory mount was the source of my vibration induced noise.

Came up on an Italy Momo steering wheel and a quick release; traded for my bumper. Definitely a busy and productive day. Quit my job and requested an alignment as a favor.
Gotta find another job again yay
Wait why did you quit your job?
[editline]27th December 2013[/editline]
Didn't you get that job like a couple weeks ago?
So, I want to get these Halo projectors but for some reason I can't make up my mind. Do they seem decent enough?
My turn signal lens are falling apart and my headlights are fogged and are following suit of the turn signal lens. I just... I dunno...
EDIT: So 2 Nos, reasons other then "they're ugly"?
Finished up the front seatbelts and retractors, and went to the back seat for the belts and clips. The rear seat had literally no bolts holding it in. It was awesome, you just manipulated each piece up and out.
Before I started I contemplated the fact that my glued on seat cover would come off, and probably not go back on again...

So I pulled that off. Now you see why I literally glued a seat cover to it... I did not want it to slip off and show this:

Bottom popped off, and you can see the mess of green airline seat belts here, and the perfectly pristine floor with 0 rust, which is why this car was such a score.

Back removed and new seatbelts installed.

So I took a trip to the fabric store and found 2 stocks of vinyl. One was this cool copper orange color which I thought would match the car kinda perfect, and the other was like a shark grey, which I thought would contrast the orange nicely. Total cost of fabric and some hog rings was $20.00 and some change. Since I'm not going for an actual stitched seat cover these supplies would do.
Bottom seat wrapped:

And for some reason I don't have a picture of the top part wrapped, but it is just orange.
Back mounted in car, the color is kind of close to the exterior paint you see outside the window. It looks interesting.

And it contrasts well with my homemade parcel shelf with black vinyl on it.
It looks kinda legit. I'm happy till I can find a new seat sometime next year. For $20 it's a lot cheaper than a seat cover... that's for sure.

Also, I didn't find any treasure under the back seat, but did find 3 romance novels from the 80s geared towards 20ish year olds. Some chick was probably flicking the bean in the back and slipped em in the seat cushion back on accident.

Close enough to done. Need to put up la roof wood and finish off the sides, and run 110v stuff threw the wall.
What are you making?
What are you making?
A 4x8 enclosed trailer with full 2" thick insulation, and semi fuel economical.
I haul around a 87" wingspan 50cc Yak-54, and numerous other random ass planes.
WATER PLANE? YEP LETS SEE IF IT TAKES OFF ON GRASS!
I'm getting deeper and deeper into RC crap and hauling stuff in my car is...... painful.
Throw planes in trailer leave in carport all is well, hook up to trailer when wanting to go fly.
why insulated
Finished up a alarm install on an Accord, got the alarm mounted all up behind the cluster along with a backup battery. Pretty stealth install really, only a few minor wires for things like door locks below the dash. Also has a super stealth piezo siren inside the vents where it will be near impossible to remove to keep you from going deaf let alone know where it's coming from.
