For a while now, I've been working on training myself making fancy renders using 3DS Max and Vray. So, I figured I'd make a fancy room and set up a render in Vray. However, it's very empty. So, I need your help to fill the interior, with either ideas, or actual models/textures. Don't go too far with the ideas, I can model just fine, but some things are just too complicated.
Here's progress so far. The final result of what I have made, is up for change, but the basic geometry of the room stays as it is. Also, it's day, so no interior lights are needed. Light models, however, can be added. If this gets far, I might make a night/evening version to.
To start of, with basic geometry, of course.

Still very boring. Let's add curtain geometry, and a neat trim around the floor edges.

Right, that's better. Now to change the material to a Vray light gray, and start on some light. I also removed the pillars, because they looked silly.

Now with a 100% more GI. Terrible exposure, and I left vignetting and white balance to their defaults.

Looking a lot better now.

Now added a fancy Vray2Sided material for the curtains, and fixed the resolution. I think I can stop here, and wait for input.

Aside helping with ideas on what to stick into the apartment, you can of course just comment on what is there so far. I can use the help/helpful criticism a lot, since I know it's not anywhere near perfect.

I can't see much at all. It's far too bright.
Fixing now.

Working on fixing my Linear Workflow.
I have a bunch of crap you can stick in there.
Mural on the far wall to look like one of those Roman Aqueducts.

Think of the space between the two supports/arch. So the walls would look like stone then the middle part would look like the other side, like a river, forest, etc.
FP logo is a must if it's a fp room.
[editline]7th January 2011[/editline]
Also add some windowframes and actual windows
[editline]7th January 2011[/editline]
And the light looks too bright, the one on the floor is PURE WHITE
Which is also most likely why your curtain is bleeding like crazy
Some tables with a wood finish
Light brown leather sofa
I hate Linear Workflow. In the frame buffer it shows fine. In Windows it shows fine. When I upload it, the thumbnail looks fine, but the full view is always washed out. :frown:
I'll work on this, and once I have it fixed, I'll start on the FP logo on the curtains, the wooden table, and a leather sofa.
Beanbags, and a rug of some sort.
A beanbag would be hard to model, but I can give it a go.

Or atleast the windowframes
Water fountain! Make it like a centaur pissing in a cup or something.

If he can't do a beanbag, forget the centaur.
FP logo (posted above), but not obvious, like a little ornament on a table or something
A basket of dildos is needed.
A shrine of the mods.

1. Take sphere
2. Apply soft body modifier
3. Change options til bean bag falls into a bean bag like shape.
4. Collapse all modifiers
5. THe end
Facepunch logo clock.
I'm making speakers for you.

So need to hang this up on the wall.

Indeed
Is it lumpy on purpose?
Well, this is the un-sub-d'd version.

It was more a representation of an idea though, I didn't mean that specific frame.
I might work on a half decent frame later.
Indeed
This one is a bit more extravagant.

Edit:
Toned down the reflections a bit so the frame is actually descipherable.

Looks better without subdivision.
Here's a preview of one of the speakers.
This is how it should look when it is done, i hope.

So uh, why hasn't room been updated?
Because my Linear Workflow is still failing. I have a mock-up wooden table, all unwrapped and textures, and a very ugly leather sofa, which I'll redo.

Work damnit!

Ffffffuuuuu-
Whoa that's some extreme colorburn. Also if you put fp logo on curtain, make the logo red. I think it would look better that way
Also floor needs less strong + more blurry reflections
