History Channel just aired a TG America commercial.
It looks more terrible than I possibly could have imagined.
Maybe because it just showed Rutledge Wood.
Watched seasons 10-13 and parts of 15 for the past month, and right now I am on a marathon run through season 2 up until 10, currently on season 3. Dare I say I'm addicted?

I saw the commercial for it. At first I only saw when he was driving a car down a snowy slope with two snowmobiles nearby and I was thinking, "This reminds me of Top Gear." Then the commercial came on later and it said Top Gear. The American version will never be as good as the original. Ever.
Did anyone watch the 60 minutes special? Here it is if anyone is interested:

Season 16 Update No.2
Apparently filming a new episode in their epic series of cross-country adventures, the Top Gear crew was spotted crossing westward over the border between Jordan and Israel in a dingy trio of roadsters: Richard in a Fiat Barchetta, James in a BMW Z3 and Jeremy in a Mazda MX-5, complete with retrofitted hookah. (Just for tobacco, of course.) The cars appear to be accompanied by a convoy of support vehicles for the production and camera crews, and undoubtedly had to jump through a lot of hoops to get there as the border is typically open only for foot traffic.
Oh joys, I love the "We were given a series of challenges..."
Top gear, awesome programme to watch, Richard Hammond nearlly died because he crashed a racing car and it had abit of a blast on it, so he had to escape really quickly, or else he would've been dead.

Top Gear is awesome. I was one of the first people to watch it in the US.

Shitty opening credits but the show looks interesting.
James May's Man Lab was excellent, it's put me in my making mood!
Personal highlight was the bit where they blow torched a Health and Safety manual.
Ooh this looks interesting. I also enjoyed James May's Toy Stories.
Not available in your area...
Its not avalible for you americans, its to cool for you guys... :v:
If the first episode of Top Gear USA mentions Nascar at all, I'm giving up on it.
I've tried using a proxy for that video. Doesn't work for some reason.
I don't think you could even talk about NASCAR for an hour, maybe 1 minute at the most.
I don't think you could even talk about NASCAR for an hour, maybe 1 minute at the most.
One of the presenters is a Nascar analyst (Rutledge Wood I think)
It's his job :frown:
so we have a somehat funny comedian, a race/stunt driver, and... Nascar guy :sigh:

...AND HE TURNED LEFT.
1.2sec.
Didn't they went to US and painted Nascar sucks?

I'm not even going to bother watching Top Gear US simply because nothing can compare to the humor of Jeremy or the chemistry of the three UK presenters. they just have something that i doubt any other version of the show can replicate.
